Who are your favourite current players that have had no affiliation with Watford?

I'll get it started:

David Luiz-Likeable guy.
Ivanovic-Not quite sure why.
Pirlo-How can you not? Class.
Dimitar Berbatov-Arrogant, deservedly.
Paul Scharner-Wears trendy glasses in post-match interviews.

Anyone that always seems to give 100% and looks like they enjoy their job which they are privelidged to be paid an awful lot to do.

Beckham for example.

Most of the England Ladies team but especially
Eniola Aluko
Karen Carney
Rachel Yankee

I've always been a fan of Lukaku, still can't get my head around the fact he's only 19. No 19 year old should be built like that!

Matt le tissier in the past,

Have a soft spot for Joey Barton since he kicked man city players after getting sent off. Always thought if you get sent off for nothing you might have well have chinned the fella.

Also Vydra, Abdi, Pudil, Ekstrand, Battochio, Geijo, Cassetti.

Simply incomparable as a player. The model professional par excellence who is as integral to Internazionale as his former illustrious predecessor the great Giacinto 'Il Magno' Fachetti. Still as fit as a fiddle and still the player he was in his mid twenties whether as a fullback or defensive midfielder.

He truly is a role model for all young professionals and not just for his exploits on the pitch but for his efforts off it.

He has been a model ambassador for club and country (although shamefully spurned in 2006 & 2010) and stuck with his club despite a period where Internazionale went through a very barren spell, refusing entreaties from the Spanish Old Firm and clubs in England. With his patience finally rewarded with several scudetti and a CL trophy win. He and Maldini are the talismanic figures of both Milanese clubs in the recent past and both deserve their place in the footballing pantheon. Javier's story is well worth a read for those who might find themselves initially rejected by a club. Indeed the very club he grew up supporting the once mighty Independiente.

And that's not forgetting all the great work he has done with his charitable foundation in Argentina for underprivileged children. He has not forgotten his roots. He truly could have stepped out from a cover of El Grafico in the 1930's and still has that wholesome ethos from that time.

I rate Matt Lowton very highly as well. If we go up and they go down i'd like a cheeky bid.

Heard he just set up a goal, making a run from his own box.

He hasn't really changed at all. Must have the right combination of genetics and fitness ethic. Although he has for the first time ever suffered a serious injury and one that might end his career as well unfortunately.

ahornet he will most likely end up as Internazionale manager or more likely ambassador or president. He is almost godlike there. Shame we couldn't get him. If you think Marco is class as we all do Javier is very similar.

Are there any right backs in the PL you would take over Cassetti if he was still in his 20s?

28. Smudger

Smudger Messi's Mad Coach Staff Member

Not really. There is a paucity of top class fullbacks not just in the PL but in world football in general much of which relates to the job of delivery and also defending. Some are great in one aspect and poor in the other.

Zabaleta I would take though for his commitment, leadership and although not blessed pacewise defensively is doglike and tenacious and is very good coming forward. And that is not even his natural flank.

I like the look of Luke Shaw at Southampton though it is far too early to see how he pans out. Ashley Cole though a canute was in his prime the best fullback in the league.

I like the fact that Benteke was of such comical derision earlier this season by so many in football (I thought his first touch was a shot at goal it was that poor) but is now turning out to be an absolute player.
