Gotta say, when I've seen Neville playing this season, most of time I'm impressed that he still has most of it and hasn't completely gone to waste. His crossing is quite on target as well.
I've got a feeling he'll take Downing, unfortunately. Feel this is just slightly too early for Johnson. I'm really looking forward to when the Euro qualifications start, we've a lot of young players like Johnson looking to make the breakthrough. Johnson, Milner, Hart, Cahill, Wilshere, Carroll, Huddlestone and Gibbs are the ones I think have a very good chance of making a claim for a Euro 2012 squad spot or even a first team spot (Milner, Huddlestone and Hart). Will be nice to get rid of a lot of dead wood too.
I've been saying for months that we should take Neville as a back up for Johnson. Who else do we have? Brown - Hasn't played, poor at right-back Richards - Sh!t season, overrated Luke Young - Simply no Lloyd Doyley - Too good for England Since rumours emerged that he could be retiring at the end of the season, Neville has looked very solid and was awarded with a one-year-contract this week at United. Get him in. ... and Paul Scholes :naughty:
I'd play him over Johnson as soon as we come up against a decent side, tbh. Johnson was shown up defensively again against Atletico which led to their goal. Him up against a player with an ounce of ability is a frightening thought.
1)I know it's not his natural position but Milner has played a few games at Right Back for Villa and from what i have seen did well. I would play him over Neville. 2)Neville is a complete and utter c**t, i know he's not the only one in the squad but i don't see the need to increase the c**t quota 3)The tache thing  I think Adam Johnson will definitely go as he is the best left sided English midfielder at the moment and it will be a joke if Downing goes although for some reason the last three England managers seem to rate him
Reasons to pick Neville: Experience. Can Tackle. Can Cross. Passion. Still fit, and still quick (for his age) He's solid and hardly puts a foot wrong.
