You think we pick too many red cards ?

Yet another madcap story from the hotbed of football lunacy South America. If you think officials in UEFA are poor one should try and watch matches from internationals down to club games to observer the inadequacies of the men in black across Latin America.

If they haven't been bribed, turned out to be transsexuals, shot players or conversely have had to flee for their lives then they are not worth the title of referee. So which category did this particular official turn out to be ? A cowardly mouse but one who dished out 36 red cards for this mass brawl in a junior match in Paraguay.

The Latin temperament can be fiery and junior football takes it's lead from the seniors in matching and sometimes exceeding the madness displayed by those who should know better.

River Plate set another record recently for creating the biggest ever banner made.

It'll be cut up into little pieces and displayed in the impressive club museum and around El Monumental just in time for the Superclasico this weekend between River and Boca. Many footballing tourists will be in the stadium and the game holds Latin America transfixed for a couple of hours. Hopefully there won't be as much madness on display as in Paraguay and even at the unveiling of the banner which saw two overenthusiastic fans dragged under a train.

Handbags. For people as physically fit as a footballist a full strength kick or punch will be enough to floor someone.
