Some years back, possibly when Wigan first got promoted to the Premiership, Graham Taylor was pretty impressed with their new(ish) stadium, as it was then.
I remember him waxing lyrical about how well run they were and that Watford should look to them as an example to follow, ie. small town club not overstretching itself to become anything other than what it is.

Seems reasonable enough to me and I must admit to having a certain amount of admiration for their ability to somehow stay in the top division for as long as they have.
As a supporter of them it must be bloody difficult to keep watching them stave off relegation each season but as a club of such small stature it's quite an achievement each time they stay up.

On the whole I don't really care about them or any other club other than Watford but football as a sport is a bore right now.
All the posturing and bull spouted from the FA, managers, players, supporters and even people in charge of the administration process at clubs going down the swanny (seriously, the bloke in charge of administration at Portsmouth was signing freakin' autographs at one point!) just leave me cold.

Wigan's chairman matched the promotion money last time they went up - hardly a sustainable approach!
