Sporting Lisbon sniffing around: https://sportwitness.co.uk/club-made-approach-watford-player-hornets-set-price-january-sale/ Apparently we told them we want €10-12m. Probably drivel.
I also saw that, got to be worth more than 10-12m Euros I would have thought potentially double that!
It depends on how much his agent is touting him about. There are enough eyes on him now for him to choose a stronger league and better option. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up at somewhere like Dortmund, Monaco, Marseille or Eindoven in the summer.
I imagine this is complete ******** as I think the club will know his potential and the money that they may bring in further down the line.
Exactly. As with Sarr, we need to hold on to him until he reaches peak value before we even consider selling.
Not sure whether you are being pedantic but Asprilla is nowhere near his peak value. Maybe the better comparison may be JP.
Slightly pedantic, but my point was we don't know what his value will be. OK Sarr cost £28m but the assumption was that he was a top prospect and we could double that value. Today Asprilla's value is as a very promising 18(?) y.o already making first team appearances, but not yet the finished product. There's no guarantee that he will develop and realise the value we hope he will. "Investments can go down as well as up".
Absolutely no chance we're selling him for €10-12m with 30 months still left in his contract. Might be off in the summer, though, unless we manage to extend his contract.
Problem is that Gino has probably already borrowed £40m against his current valuation based on an offer from an Italian club signed by a Mr R Riva.
Keep.him.if you're serious about a playoff push. There will be guaranteed interest from the PL Probably Brighton and at least they pay the asking price. Sporting can bog off with that offer. Again if fool Pozzo hadn't savaged the clubs finances we'd be under no.pressure to sell anyway.
Debt free and coincidentally, also player-free. The model moves on to simply selling high calorie snacks and replica gear to the inhabitants of the Rookery Bar.
Not a chance he's off that fee (that's £8.5m-£10.5m for those unwilling to do the conversion). Double it and I can see it happening however.
What has happened to 'Scoop' Leventhal's minority investors? All gone quiet on that particular front.
I take it Sporting wouldn't have that kind of cash (especially to spend on someone who isn't necessarily going to walk into their side)
I think the big striker from Coventry they brought cost 20 million so that might be a guide to their spending power.
Turned out it a bunch of squirrels in a trench coat. Suspicions were raised when they started asking where the nuts were kept.
A €12m deal I’m hearing. Payable over 12 years but that doesn’t matter as we will finance it through “Old Mac Query had a loan” and pocket the net €5m immediately to add to the £30m war chest.
Oh they're blighters and no mistake! Fortunately my squirrel proof sunflower feeder is keeping them at bay.
Oceanografic doesn’t open until til 10am Spanish time and according to this, he was there at 8.30am. Question is, why was he there so early? Business meeting first at the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències? They certainly have offices there that could facilitate such a meeting between him and shall we say, ‘Mestalla based individuals’. Worrying times for our fans. Anyone know anything else?
IIRC it's a long walk from the touristy centre through the parks to the entrance. Maybe he is just so fit it took him half the time googlemaps had suggested ? Maybe his phone is still on UK time which would explain an hour? Ok I'm clutching at straws, he's as good as gone isn't he ?
Well, the site was used in the tv show ‘Westworld’ which begs another question, has he gone there because he watched that show? Or something more sinister like he believes that we all live in a simulation? £12m to Valencia with no sell on clause means little if we’re all robots, Delores.
