I think anybody significant who signs will do so on the condition of knowing who else is signing, meaning they all hold off towards the end of the window. No big name will want to go there only to be joined by rejects and last resorts, and end up playing in the Championship next season.

Has he left us yet ? Perhaps a loan to Nottingham Forest with Zinckernagel back the other way.

I thought Femenia was as at fault, if not actually even more so, for the equaliser - as he was way behind the back line needlessly playing Jansson onside. If Kiko hadn't been back there, then either Jansson would have been offside or wouldn't have reached the chance.

More chance of us trying to take one of their championship level CB’s in return for letting them keep Zinckernagel permanently.

Just a simple 'sorry lads I messed up, I will make it up to you all with an improved performance against Burnley' will do.

But the classless ***** remains tight lipped.

Yeah but he shouldn't promise what he can't deliver. So it's understandable why he'd keep quiet.

    Too late now.
If you don't show contrition immediately it can appear insincere or that you have been asked to do so.
Perhaps he doesn't think he's done anything worthy of an apology?
Different scenario but at a former club I had an assistant coach who took the small children at the local primary school and the 8& unders at the club.
She was a bumptious young woman, her younger sister had been a decent junior before anorexia struck.
One school session she made a crass remark to the grandchild of a club member who happened to help her at the session.
That day I arrived at the club at the same time. She mentioned the incident to me and I told her to call the grandmother and say sorry immediately.
    She did not.
I saw the grandmother a week later and asked if she had been called by the coach.
She had not and was now angry.
She asked me to report it to the club's welfare officer and up the chain of command it went.
The coach was suspended pending an investigation and left the club two months later.
An immediate call would have prevented such a mess.

Will the club kindly remove him from the window displays as well that face onto Vicarage Road. Those gnashers seem ready to take a bite out of passerbys. And don't forget Daniel's enormous hand straight out of an appalling bingo advert.

Wouldn't be surprised, I think he gets a fair bit of flak on Twitter.

I mean, it's definitely one of those cases where, if he looks at it himself at all, ever, it will be pretty fuccking devastating - there's nothing that can be done to get around that, and it will be just another ingredient in the heady cocktail that is his broken footballing mind.

    Harsh but true.

I've seen a lot of ******** on twitter about fans not giving him support. Giving him support isn't going to make him less of a cartoon-like calamity machine. He's utter **** and I want to stay in this division.

    Nothing personal lad

Dreadful player who is costing us points every single week with basic errors

Couldn’t care less about the supposed ‘social media abuse’ tbh

Not a fan . I saw his limitations last season when an unfit Wycombe bodybuilder owned him .
That said any flak , which is not football related , is unacceptable.

I personally wouldn’t look at his Twitter just for how bad I’d feel on second hand basis, so no surprise he can’t.

Did WTE make all the mistakes he's been making this season last one? If he did, even with the terrible quality of much of the finishing (seven teams averaged less than a goal per game last season) it's hard to believe he got away with them on such a regular basis as the team somehow ended up conceding only 30 goals with just one goal let in at home in the last nine games. People were reasonably concerned that his poor passing would be his undoing in the Prem, but others including myself thought that he might do alright if he acknowledged his limitations and kept it simple. But now, it's not just that, he's exhibited every facet of bad defending (except scoring an own goal, funnily enough the one goal we let in at the Vic at the end of last season was scored by him!) - bad decision making, hesitancy, missing headers, not getting close enough to his man, conceding a penalty, even failing to do the basics like passing back to the goalkeeper or properly clearing his lines. Much of it must be down to decreasing confidence, but almost from the start some of these were unforced errors, of the like I don't remember seeing last season.

I never really rated him. We were so so lucky that Championship strikers are almost exclusively dogs***, because he was out-muscled, out-jumped and out-fought at least twice per game. We could have conceded 60 goals last season and it wouldn’t have been any more than we deserved.

WTE had it very easy. He was rarely troubled mainly because Sierralta was totally dominant.

Its quite easy for passengers to come along for the ride in that division, especially if you have somebody like Sarr putting the fear of god in the opposition.

I mean we were promoted without a striker

I was excited when we signed him, he was pretty regular for Udinese and seemed to do a good job for them so I thought he might be at least a top Championship defender and maybe a decent Prem one too, last season he was no better than the others (despite the defensive record, I don't think we were particularly outstanding at the back, Sierralta aside), this season he started off OK, but has rapidly gone downhill

Yeah, apart from the fact that there were those of us who were always dubious, you don't have to look any further than the quality of both individual attackers in this division, and the attacks they therefore collectively form.

It's light years ahead of basically anything the Championship has to offer, and he is just fundamentally not even close to being at the requisite level for dealing with it - hardly surprising that Norwich, who dominated the league you are thinking about him facing last season, was the sole opponent who made him look even semi-competent this time round up here.

Don't think it's that, he mentioned journos asking players if they'd honour their call-ups, so possibly a dig at Dennis?

Whatever division we're in next year and however enthusiastic he is for the cause, I really have seen quite enough of old Billy Ekong. I have no trust in Troost.

Moderately good at headed clearances, fairly bad at tackling and positioning, disastrously bad at passing a football and prone to more gaffes than a royal Caribbean tour....
