Its a new thanks system, if a post is helpful and provided the right info that was asked origanaly then you can thank that user. This will be reflected in your profile and gives members ideas on who are the most helpful or provide the most useful info so giving an indication to a member (particulary new members) who is the best person to ask advice.
1 month trial. Trying to work out how to get the thanks box to look a LOT better than it currently does.
I still have the quick reply button, but perhaps it's because I used all 3 of my thanks today and it's showing instead of? Must investigate, but does anyone use quick reply?
"The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to Admin For This Useful Post:" That part ain't really needed. Perhaps a little 'Thanked By: or Thanks from:' and in a much smaller font. That would clear up the space issue.
Oh dear....where are we going with this. If I want to be happy clappy Ill shave my head and wear orange robes. Give us a b/ugger off button and keep the site simple or your going to lose people.
I understand that, and personally wasn't sure about it, but then I said the same for the shoutbox and now that's a runaway success. It's definately on trial and needs to be tweaked, but in a few weeks time we'll have a public vote and decide then what to do with it.
Can you not move it away from the quite button onto the left hand side? I have gone to quote twice now and thanked the poster instead as from a quick glance, it is similar in looks to quote (OK, being lazy there and not actually reading it!) Don't really see the point in it myself, I know the idea is probably to gid rid of people posting 'thanks Nak' or whoever else post things like ratings but now makes all the posts looks cluttered.
I'm not a fan of the space it takes up, but if I can find out how to make it look like they have it on the moneysavingexpert forums I'll be happier. Looks like this over there... If not then it's in trouble already.
2 of them which I agreed with before that post. Don't see the point really? Like how often do you thank people on here? I mean yeah, if someone gives you directions, donations, or travel advise then yes it has a use. But this is to much like facebook where you 'like' peoples status's. Would you really thank someone who has the same point of view as you?
Admin, Is there a way of having this option on or off for each individual member? I'm personally not too keen on it, but if it could be made neater and smaller then that would be better.
