442? With 4 central midfielders? He wasn't kidding when he said he wanted to make us more solid. Would have dropped King over JP though.
Surely this can't mean we're playing Cleverley and Kucka as our wide midfielders? Surely? Surely we're not doing that?
The cat kicker plays. All the journos claiming today he wouldn’t. How little these people know the game.
Oh good. Cleverley rewarded for 25 minutes of giving the ball away, hitting corners into the first man, and mis-timing tackles with a start.
I would of started Pedro - a bit of steel in the middle. Very light weight in there. TC was awful at Burnley yet starts? Still, him or Sema is lesser of two evils.
Even if people disagree with replacing Pedro with Cleverley, having Dennis in instead of Sema alone makes the team better. And even the bench looks a little stronger - yes it includes Sema, but it also has Kalu and Pedro in place of Fletcher and WTE.
Lol. He was always going to play Cleverley wide at some point and tonight's the night! Roy Sanchez Flores.
Let's hope Kucka gives him a very hard time tonight. If it gets him off the pitch by injuring him - take the Red Card for the Feline race Kucka!
I hope we're all wrong and Roy is a genius tactically and this pays off, obviously, but he's made a very early rod for his own back if it doesn't. Almost seems provocatively controversial - especially given how poor we have been at attacking and scoring goals in recent weeks/months. As I said, let's hope it's proven genius rather than madness.
I saw someone on Reddit point out yesterday that actually, Sissoko has spent quite a lot of his career at right midfield - with Sarr on the way back (and a lot of our midfield quite shyt) it's a bit moot, but if this is what Royball constitutes, you might think that he would be an ideal pick for that right hand side, to be honest...
I’m not condoning violence but it would be cosmic irony if someone kicked him across the pitch then laughed at him
Erm, he's replacing Sema with Cleverley - Dennis was pretty much always going to replace JP given that he's much more of a forward than a 442 winger, and he's better than JP.
I believe @NathWFC has gone tonight. If you see a Watford fan charging towards him pitch-invader-style, we know it's one of our own.
I think at times people shy too far from condoning violence in the name of conservatism, to the benefit of those who would genuinely wreak serious violence given the chance. Not necessarily in this instance, but there are definitely scenarios where acts that would potentially be either deemed or, at least, framed as 'violence' can be justified and, even, necessary.
