I know it is not as serious a crime as Mason Greenwood has been accused of, but have West Ham suspended this despicable man Zouma yet? And if not why not
Even if that were true, that’s absolutely no excuse for what he did and that makes the Twitter users not much less sick than Zouma. But actually what happened is that he got mad at his cat for accidentally breaking a vase and tearing down a light fixture from a kitchen cupboard. That’s something you have to be prepared for when you get a cat or dog, especially a Bengal (particularly as it’s valued at £2,000, so it tends to be kept as an indoor cat as someone might steal it). If someone who professes to love his cats can do that to one of them, it makes me shudder to think what someone who actually hates cats might do to one. Weird that dogs don’t ever seem to arouse this kind of rage that cats do with some people.
That’s what I was really trying to say, in many ways to me it makes it worse because you don’t buy a bengal if you’re aren’t prepared for it to be a bit more lively than a normal cat. There is no excuse for cruelty to any animal what so ever, I just kind of think it’s even more absurd that he’s gone out of his way to buy a breed of cat that is likely to break stuff. Plus the fact he’s an incredibly wealthy individual, so why would you get mad at a breed of cat doing what it’s designed to do, when whatever it might break is really an irrelevance to you. I suppose what I’m saying it makes it even more irrational to punish a cat that is more likely to do what you’re punishing it for, not that you should in either circumstances.
I doubt he bought a Bengal Cat because he likes them as a breed. I’d bet everything on him buying it as a status symbol and not even remotely looking into how to handle/care for it. Probably had some luxury fixer get it for him.
Cats are absolute tools but you know what you're getting yourself into...arrogant, disrectful creatures but lovable for their absolute disregard for everyone and everything else in the pursuit of their own happiness. You've got to respect that. Regarding Zouma, mistreating an animal is the same as mistreating a person. You're just exerting power over a lesser thing because you can and are generally a pretty sick individual. As someone put earlier it's just cowardice bully behaviour
I don’t get people who say stuff like this in response to animal cruelty. They don’t choose to be anything as many people portray them, their nature is their nature. It’s like calling a giraffe a **** for being tall or penguins pricks for standing around all the time. I mean, you’d not say the same about child cruelty right? You’d not say ‘toddlers are absolute tools who are selfish and reliant on humans to survive but you know what you’re getting yourself into…’ Of course you wouldn’t.
I think it's absolute and sickening what he did to that Cat. They have just a right to life as we do. I hope he gets banned from football for life and heavily fined by the courts, FA and RSPCA.
I think the most telling thing is his brother posted it without thinking there was anything wrong, as well as all the laughing captions on the video. I think that tells us everything we need to know about the mentality of those involved.
Don’t get me going.. I’m anti all cruelty to animals and people, but some of the ‘anti’ brigade are mindless zealots. The old days of releasing American mink from mink farms causing untold devastation as they’re an invasive alien killing machine and native wildlife have no defence. The missus, a vegan, having a go at me when she’s in the mood and after a couple of glasses, whenever I’m eating meat. She dismisses all arguments that a humans teeth are for omnivores, UK has overwhelmingly humane animal husbandry, would she like a countryside denuded of every sheep and cow, I like my bacon butty, leave me alone woman ... Zealots are the worst. (Luckily she doesn’t read this forum)
Er, not sure you can blame the mink for that - perhaps it was the fault of the ******-shoed rednecks who released them ??
Have I found the right thread for tonight's game, or have we been hijacked by the cats protection league!
I don’t know the circumstances of this, but killing animals obviously isn’t the usual MO for animal rights activists.
Cats are nothing more than hilarious and I'm lucky to have virtually owned them all my life. Our last one was a Maine coon mix with a Norwegian forest cat. Absolutely enormous, loving but very stubborn too when she wanted to be. She would purposely wake up our dog who was either asleep on me or next to me just to wind it up. She had three sets of kittens in her lifetime and the first set of seven were pure evil almost Gremlin like. I got up one morning to find ever single one of the hanging off the curtains while mum was just sat there looking out the window. She did give me a look to sort them out then fooked off outside. They used to attack me feet in bed, ponce on me as I walked through the door. Attack my beard but I loved those little bastards so much. Falling asleep on the sofa with 7 kittens and the mum was as therapeutic as it comes.
Penguins are pricks though. 'Oh look at us, we huddle to keep warm.' Move somewhere other than the coldest continent on earth you flightless berks! Nobody is impressed with your waddling. And you also stink. And giraffes, 'oh look at me being so tall that I graze at the top of the tree' yeah you ******* , there are loads of leaves lower down too. You just wasted loads of evolution. And cats are prize knobends.
I think it's a good thing he kicked that cat. Well, perhaps not so much a good thing the cat got kicked, but definitely a good thing that the video of Zouma doing the kicking came out on the very day we're due to play them. I'm sorry for the cat, sure. But there's bloody loads of them, strays and everything around and worse things happen. They get kicked all the time and run over by Range Rovers and even fireworks stuck up their arses. If this particular feline footballing contributes to the West Ham team being distracted and off-form and the subject of displeasure from their own supporters tonight and that means we get 3 points, then the maltreated moggy has done very well and taken one for the team in my view.
