Actually, having seen the later posts, I do think doughnut is probably a genuine fan so I hope he gets to see the game.

Keith Dublin use to do that and beat 4 attacking players before giving the ball back to their midfield to try again, for a laugh each game. Nice to see some retro moves again

 

I genuinely forgot about this. Still, I had a seat to put my coat on.

 

Oh blimey, what a blast we had today !! I got 1 Ticket offered to me, which I snapped up and agreed to meet the chap in a pub today, fine. So of course I still needed 1, for the Better Half, and I got a call from someone who said they had a Ticket so, I said yes thank you and I thought we were set.....but that Ticket never materialised.

So asked a nice chap with a green waistcoat what to do, he said, don't worry, you'll get in, go to the Ticket Office, so we duly went there. When we got in, the man said he couldn't issue a Ticket to someone who'd registered after 1st July, so we asked to speak to manager. Whilst my Partner was in the Queue waiting, she said get in the Queue again and ask someone else, so I did and they did sell me a Ticket – so we both got in (different parts of the ground but who cares).

It was a great day out, the fans were loving it, more so the Hornets, West Ham were terrible, but watching the Hornets waving their flags and doing candle in the wind, was really fabulous to watch. It was a great atmosphere, in a great, tight stadium, where you can reach out and touch the players. Not like the Emirates or along those lines, where you’re far removed, but to me, this is how real football should be. Great day out, great people, fans the winners ! Everyone so friendly !

Now you know me, I hope I don’t have to go through all that next time !
