Still affected by his ACL? Or has he picked up another injury? He arrived before any of the other signings, we did see pics of him in training
I agree. I get the impression Bayo is the better player of the two. I think Healey was signed as a cheap punt, but not as our main striker this season. If he works out then great, but I'm not expecting too much from him.
Healey is coming off the back of being out for basically all the season with injury - it remains to be seen the extent to which he'll recover.
I cannot see Bayo being loaned or sold to Udinese when we have only Healey currently as our other Senior striker, deal agreed or not as it stands. Even if we got had 3 Senior strikers in Bayo, Healey and another I still wouldn't want to let go of any of those 3 due to lack or numbers.
@YellowKicks sorry to be lazy and not check for myself but is it permanent or loan? I saw a brief headline saying one year contract
Maybe true, maybe not. But it's a club sanctioned interview. Of course he'll way that type of thing the same way he'd say it if it was us.
Just to correct myself lol. Seems he didn’t reject us but rather we pulled out of the deal a few days ago because somebody else we wanted became available.
Well - or he was too expensive for us. Or he picked Stoke. Everyone is going to spin it different ways who knows. My money is on us being potless and not wanting to pay his wages. Time will tell if we bring in someone better.
Or guaranteed a start . I suspect Healey is wondering if he has come to be 2nd fiddle to a striker we didn’t want for most of last season ?
If he doesn't want to be second fiddle then he better make sure he trains and plays better than the other guy, then.
Must be proper crocked, £22m to a one year deal at Stoke. Maybe the injury levelled up his legs and he can't deal with it.
It was a good chance, which he had a big role in creating to begin with. He also came closest to scoring out of all our players with a good header from a corner which required an excellent save to stop. Healey when he came on just clearly seemed less sharp, involved and dangerous than Bayo had been. He struggled to make any impact at all.
Maybe still getting over that long term injury ? Either way probably do more attacking cover and sure we will .
