Let the club you can’t make and and they are usually pretty helpful and may give you credit on your account to buy tickets next time
We've got Giorgi Chakvetadze He's a wizard on the wing He looks like a dirty scaghead Who the **** cares, let's all sing
Got a ticket…totally forgot I was off collecting grandkids…can we please save the wonderful open attacking play for the Plymouth game…pretty please
It’s going to be very wet and windy. Will make for a thoroughly miserable afternoon if the result doesn’t go our way.
I genuinely believe he could score 10+ goals for us, whilst playing like absolute dogshit. All the football hipsters will rave about his XG and his GC whilst the rest of us look at his obvious inability to trap a football, pass, head or dribble.
Isn't the first part of your post backing up exactly what the football hipsters have been saying? It's obvious from watching him (as well as the stats) that most aspects of his game is limited - but he's generally pretty effective at scoring/shooting. Luckily VIs system doesn't really require much from the striker in terms of build up play or dribbling, so should hopefully play to his strengths somewhat.
I mean, that's a good point to be fair. An improvement on last season's performances is a pretty low bar.
Gareth Ainsworth's interviews are pretty funny reading at the moment. Imagine having to apologise for your team's application and results before the season's even started.
Yes but can we do it on a cold and wet afternoon in Hertfordshire? There is a higher probability we will be the ones apologising to our fans' at FT after a shameful display. Hopefully this will not be the case.
Just been on their forum, hardly a word about the game. I think they see it as a home banker or are just not bothered by the result. I would class it has a home banker myself, then I remembered I supported Watford.
Nothing quite like the first game of the Season, is there? Although I was sceptical of Ismael Valerien when he was appointed given the revolving door of the last few years I can actually see what he's trying to implement and a structure to the play, which is more than can be said of Watford teams since 2018/19. His messaging has been clear and consistent from both himself and the players with "Pressing" and "Intensity" being the two most common picks. I'm far more optimistic we will have an identity on the pitch this year compared to Pre-Seasons under Ivic, Xisco and Edwards. I can't help it, I'm an optimist and ready to be hurt again.
Even after the game, we will still be able to take comfort from the fact that the only way is up and QPR will only be top of the league for one week.
Guessing Mr Prutton doesn’t think much of our chances this season ! https://www.skysports.com/amp/footb...nd-west-brom-and-blackburn-in-play-off-tussle
He never does. Even when we were decent he predicted we'd either draw or lose. I don't think I've ever seen a prediction where he thought we'd actually win a game, so it's no surprise he's salivating over our demise this season.
No fan of Prutton and his Lawro like predictions myself, but apart from predicting we will lose to QPR tomorrow, where does he comment about our chances this season?
I would assume that was just an inference from the fact he has us losing at home to arguably the worst team in the league.
F**king hell is this sh*te back tomorrow!? We’re a mess, QPR seem to be a mess. Stinky August afternoon. 1-0 win by virtue of them being worse than us.
He's probably got a few quid put in with Skybet for us to get relegated. When you back a horse, you back it all the way.
I never quite understand the concept of people being paid to make predictions, because predictions are really just guesses and it seems quite strange to reward people for such things
He might just be one of those pundits who assume that because we seem to be a club in constant chaos then we’re likely to lose more games than we win. He might not be wrong.
We're in less of a mess than QPR. Unless I've missed a transfer or two by them, they will have no senior centre backs available tomorrow. Jimmy Dunne, their last fit senior centre back is injured following their 5-0 loss to Oxford, and both Rob D!ckie and Leon Balogun left the club Jake Clarke-Salter continued his tradition of being injured for them. Reminds me of last year when we had 3-4 players out of position v Sheffield United
