Didn’t bother going or watching today (again), did we at least sing “we’ve got the ball/lost the ball” for 30 minutes in a hilarious display of noble gallows humour? Anything to avoid vocally and publicly criticising the owner and chairman who have turned us into a laughing stock on and off the pitch…
Some positives from today: - Foster's final home match - Masina showing the new manager how clueless he is. Hopefully his final home match as well. - Cathcart also poor- might encourage us to finally try and sign some additional quality at CB - Central midfielders also mostly crap, again could push us in to making another signing or two there. - Joao Pedro linking up well but as usual really struggles to finish. Should emphasise to the new manager that we'll be screwed if we rely on him for goals next season and need at least one, if not two, new CFs. JP might be better suited in the AM/10 role, though will need to up his pressing. - In general, whether it be in midfield or attack, we really have no one who could hit a barn door with a banjo. Should underline that we really need some more players capable of chipping in with goals next season. I'm sensing a theme here.
Never went or watched the game, I contemplated watching it on the TV until I saw the line up and then I thought forget that nothing good can come from this for us. Went for a Sunday stroll come home checked the score and wasn't one bit surprised.
If it wasn't for JP and Ngakia my foot would of been through my television. Ok Ngakia made a few errors but he showed some heart. JP was on a different level and was unlucky not to get more. The rest were simply woeful minus Kamara and Kalu in patches.
Why would he bother doing that when he can manage us for a couple of games then get a big payday once we give him an early boot?
What a fitting end to our home campaign. Almost a shame we tarnished the optics of it by scoring. Hopefully Edwards realises the job he’s got on his hands!
Bayat is looking a bit concerned there. Maybe another potential positive is that it's finally dawning on him that he can't keep getting away with flogging us so much 5hite?
I think that was against Palace - we were still playing with a supposed "full-strength" team and not confirmed down yet, then got Zaha to finish the job for us.
All the empty seats at the start of the game, and at the end before the players got to do their "lap of dishonour" I think spoke volume enough.
Unless there is radical change now and really excising the rotten heart in the playing staff and getting those two idiots out of the picture to allow truly qualified people to do their job I agree. The club has been knocked sideways. Promotion and it's revenues merely masked the continuing issues on and off the pitch. Hope Edwards takes plenty of Anadin. He'll need it after watching that.
Why the f*** is that c*** Bayat still sitting in our Directors box. He’s not a Watford FC employee! He just peddles us with a load of s***. Bizarre and disgraceful to continue to host him.
I’m fairly sure that your goal meant that we equaled the most goals conceded from corners in a season so that’s something. You’re the first team we’ve scored four or more against in three games in the same season. 17 goals in three games between us and absolutely nightmarish defending all round.
