League table says otherwise. I’ll go with that over what you decide everyone should think.

It's such a futile, hollow experience following Watford these days. I went to the match, cheered the goal, then went home knowing it all means nothing. Fair play to those who go to the away matches. I had planned to go to quite a few this season, but have cancelled the lot as this club are not worth the effort. Nothing to do with the players or coaching staff, as they are doing their limited best. It's totally to do with the regime. We are not in the process of a rebuild, it's a process of cutbacks. I cannot support a club with an owner who is not in it for the betterment of Watford FC anymore. I will still be at the home games physically but I'm not really into it, believing in it anymore.

As I have a ST it's not costing me anything more I'll still go to the home games, but I will not buy anything in the ground or any official merch. I'm not going to let the owner have anymore of my money, so he can squander it on agents and severance pay outs. No chance.

I came away from the game, not elated by a late win, I had a confirmation we are going backwards in performance as a team. Since around the West Brom game, there has been a big downturn in performance levels. It's a worrying trend and a win doesn't change that opinion. Sheff Wed are dreadful but they matched us and were probably the better team until the final 20 minutes. If this rancid Sheff Wed team can play us in our backyard and match us, probably deserving a point, then it tells me all I need to know as to where we are as a team right now.

Are there three worse teams in the league? QPR, Sheff Wed sure.......and probably Rotherham, but I'm scratching my head at who else. We do have enough to stay up, but as I said pre-season we'll be in a relegation scrap. If this current trend does not reverse soon, we'll be stuck in the bottom 4 clinging on to the hope of staying 4th from bottom. It's a disgrace Gino Pozzo has taken us to the verge of League One.

It's not me deciding what everyone should think, it's repeating what basically every Sheffield Wednesday fan was saying about their own team (though I'd also observed the same).

I'll post it again as you seem to have ignored it first time:

    "Gutted but far better. "
"As a performance, much better than the Munoz"
"Much improved. Focus now has to be on the long term team project and Chancer leaving. Onwards and upwards."
"34 games left, still plenty, not going to get too down as it was a big improvement"
"Best we have played all season and the lads worked hard. "
"Played better, will get points against the poorer sides but likely to be too far gone by January."
    "Better organised and more energy."
"We actually looked like a football team."
"Well it was best performance of the season. If we had a striker worthy of the name we could have won it."
"Best performance I've seen so far. "
"Everything was 20x better than under XM"

And yet they still lost to a team in 19th, with two wins all season and who hadn’t won in the previous 5 games, whilst conceding 11 goals in the process.

    So what?

For the most part it was a tight game. And I also expect us to climb the table a bit more by the season's end.

I'm not saying I expect them to go on a Boro type run after they came to us while bottom of the league and narrowly won, and they could well still get relegated, but that was not the performance typical or indicative of the side which had got only 3 points from 11 games.

  7. And yet you still have the motivation to come on here and tell us how un/disinterested you are, or was that to tell us how you are Nostradamus with your pre season predictions? Whatever, I expect we won't be hearing a lot more from you from now on?

And they certainly played like it, and still could have beaten us!

    No, this isn't the one.

It's a bar in a hot country. A couple of English blokes come in and I think try to get help because their car is broken down. The Hispanic man at the table doesn't speak any English, but knows the names 'Bobby Charlton' and 'Nobby Styles.'

Just put me on ignore........someone like you should have been able to work out how to do that after all these years. After all, you spend most of your time correcting people's spelling mistakes and grammar because you're incredibly intelligent.

  13. OK. You have less and less to say these days, and take longer and longer to say it.

So just ignore my posts. Why are you still reading them? Are you a sadist or a saddest?

The crowd scream forward because the midfielders are the biggest culprits for passing it backwards, It's their job when in possession to drive the ball forward. We won't ever score by playing the ball back to our own back line, and ******* about with tippy tappy football.

Exactly this during the game my mind stated wandering and I considered who's name if any of our current squad I'd have on a shirt..... Concluded it's none of them.

I don't disagree. It seems to be when Hoedt and Porteous are on the ball looking unsure what to do that the 'forward' shouts start. A few times on Saturday Hoedt was then forced into trying to make a pass that wasn't really on and put it out of play. Martins and Ince were the most static of the lot on Saturday.

Maybe that’s why we played better without crowds, the squad are mentally weak and can’t stick to a plan in the face of the crowd telling them to do something different.

    "Ince"....it's the fewest/lessest number of letters !

Val pretty much tackled this head on in his post-match comments on the fishal site, which whoever wrote the article summarised as about about a 'need for patience':

Seems like the half time boos had an effect on the delicate flowers, as Val had to basically remind them they were the ones with the power to change the atmosphere.

I should have clarified that it was the players I was referring to. For the fans it's pretty much a necessity.
