Yeah, it was announced by Peter Beagrie, a former Scunthorpe player, citing inside knowledge. Sounds promising but I can't help WFC are like Newcastle were in the Rooney sale - just the hopeless forerunners making a first bid. I hope I'm wrong. I hope WFC will stick with him when the price goes up.
Good to see us making a move, whether he'll be able to score us the goals that keep us up im not sure, but he's definately got potential. For what its worth, the Daily mail says we're ready to bid £1.2 mil on Will Hoskins from Rotherham.
Couldnt agree more WoodyWFC him and either collins john or beattie would be perfect for us where we are at the moment in my opinion.
He's got 13 goals in 20 games for them and they're in the relegation zone. He's in the last year of his contract and rejected the offer of a new contract from them this week (because of this, I wouldn't be surprised if he goes for cheaper). Celtic have supposedly been credited with an interest and Gillingham's manager said last month after they played Rotherham that he thought they'd be good enough for the Prem. I found a couple of vids on youtube with him in. He's Rotherham's number 10 who scores their goal in this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neqm1B5TSME and their 4th goal in this (at 40 seconds): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Pop3uPytds . He looks quite quick and sharp. Might not be the strongest or best in the air though (5ft 9, 11 stone): http://www.themillers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Squad/ProfilesDetail/0,,10360~22836,00.html
Cardiff have joined Watford in the bidding for Rotherham's £2m-rated striker Will Hoskins. (Daily Mirror)
These are the kind of strikers we will have half a chance of signing, ok they are lower league but they are actually doing the business, and can only play what is put in front of them. If they can take knocks from the big old centre backs that ply their trade in those leagues then they shouldn't be afraid of a bit of physical contact. Which is where Priskin lets himself down. Sign these two boys up now!!
Hendo was able to deal well with the physical side of the Championship often enough, but he has been bullied out of games so far in the Prem.
