They haven't stopped blowing them all game! As for the game, a bit cagey, not much happening at the moment. Mexico look the better side though.
Yeah same. Wish there was a button on the tv remote to mute the f***ing things, but keep the rest. Decent game so far, Mexico look pretty good but cant get the final finish, South Africa looking a bit shakey, but had one good move.
They make it sound like the stadium is infested with bees....or maybe HORNETS.....hey I have an idea.....Complementary Vuvuzela for each ST holder, to blow as and when, every home game next season?
Mexico with a goal disallowed from some fantastic lines-manning. SA very lucky the GK decided to throw himself out.
There's a rather large South African lady where I work who is currently sitting in fron the of huge TV they've installed. I sat there for 10 minutes before her drone and utter ****ocks made me want to kill, so I walked away instead. The Vuvuzela seems quite tame by comparison.
Leighton you can watch it at work on the internet if you want, in fact you can watch all freeview channels on the internet (legally too).
I want Mexico to score again so i can have about 30 seconds without hearing one of those bloody horn things!!!
At work each department has been given a team to support. We have to dress are desk areas, and are selfs up in team colours. The office looks very colorful, but disappointed that the department that got Argentina have made a shrine to the hand of god. We also get to watch all the games. Is anyone else's work place doing anything?
Well they did get the Worlds largest LCD TV in the main reception and have decked the place out in Japanese and English flags, but have countered it by placing earlier said South African gobsh*te in the way :dismay:.
I did see something on SSN that showed people trying to make tunes out of them but only outside the ground and it was a group of 5 so hardly tapping into the thousands that blow these things. I can see the TV and radio guys getting some sort of system to cut the sound out TBH soon.
Come On You Vuvuzelas doesn't quite sound right but I bet the craze for these catches on here after the WC.
I am hoping that England fans sing lots of songs, just so I can hear something different from the constant droning noise of those fecking vuvuzelas.
I noticed the noise level was much lower in the Argentina v Nigeria match with both sets of fans created their own atmosphere which as you say the England fans will.
They are thinking of banning them: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2010/8737455.stm :-D
A campaign is needed, saying to Fifa we wont watch the games with the vuvuzelas playing, and suddenly the sponsors will want something done. A mass 5 minute switching off of the t.v set just as the game starts, might get the message across, combined with England fans throwing thousands of the things onto the pitch at the next game.
