I’d say that opinion is unpopular only because it’s inaccurate. From Wiki:

Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols said that he constantly listened to Kimono My House back in 1974 at Paul Cook's room. "We'd sit in his bedroom for hours listening to them". Joy Division cited "Number One Song in Heaven" as a primary influence during the recording of "Love Will Tear Us Apart". Joy Division's drummer Stephen Morris stated: "When we were doing 'Love Will Tear Us Apart', there were two records we were into: Frank Sinatra's Greatest Hits and Number One Song in Heaven by Sparks. That was the beginning of getting interested in Giorgio Moroder". Peter Hook of New Order cited Moroder's production on "The Number One Song in Heaven" as a major influence when his band changed musical style to produce electro/dance-rock songs like "Temptation" in 1982. Morrissey named Kimono My House as one of "his favourite LPs of all time".

It was. There was some awful fat Canadian women with a trite dirge about miners.

Good thing that they didn't have Gary Glitter singing about minors.

This is akin to one of those 80s movies where a millionaire slums it with some college dropouts and finds their squalor and hand to mouth existence thrilling.

Yes he used to scare the crap out of my little sister, which might have been one of the reasons I liked them so much.

People seem to love him for some reason. I assume this is because he makes people feel smart when he quotes Shakespear’s sister’s or summink.

Personally, I’ll never forgive his commentary when Capoue scored for us to 1-0 up against Man Utd that time. ‘And you know what, they might just deserve it’. A pat on the head from a big 6 man.

Give me Martin Tyler any day.

Few months late to be topical but I think Netflix should have cracked down on password sharing much earlier. **** all the grown adults sharing passwords, bloody free loaders

I think that depends, until recently I had their Premium package, £17.99 a month, you can stream on four devices simultaneously and download onto 6 different devices, but you can’t watch in more than one household, only real benefit was 4k. Whereas I’ve got the Now TV entertainment package, it £9.99 a month and you can at least watch in two different households, so my mum has my login.

I agree on their basic packages for £4.99 and £10.99 maybe they can argue against password sharing, but IMO opinion not for £17.99, hence why I downgraded to the £10.99 package and they’re worse off for it.

Netflix’s real challenge is to put on something worth watching. Some decent stuff, for sure, but diminishing returns of late.

Definite quantity over quality, and a lot of their ‘new releases’ turn out to be 5 year old dramas that have already been on ITV or BBC. Their original films are mostly always crap too.

    Are they?

They are streaming 1080p so a quarter of the data to you, and none of the data to the prior prayer your household. Plus the other users outside of your household might subscribe.

And it doesn't matter what the rules are, you paid £18 for for users within your household and you got it.

The idea that we should subscribe to subscription services as groups of 4 is nonsense. All it does is mean less protests per user so the payment price guess up accordingly.
Can you imagine if you had to find a group of 4 people to get a mobile phone plan because they are priced to account for 4?

Peter Drury is a Watford supporter and lives in Hertfordshire. Regularly goes to games too. So maybe it was just a line of commentary rather than a patronising dig at a small club.

Yep. We had access via our eldest son’s subscription, however during the 6 months leading up to the ‘crackdown’ the content was decidedly poor. Hardly screamed ‘pay for it yourself now’, so we haven’t bothered.
