What? Pretty standard advertising campaign. Do you get annoyed when Cheryl does another L’Oréal advert? Weird.
When it's in an interview, yes actually. I also get annoyed when Lewis Hamilton flashes his sponsored watches in press conferences. It's got **** all to do with his marketing campaign, he got asked a question about football. Clearly you've become very desensitised to product placement.
Cannot see him ever returning in a managerial role, I know he is still regarded by many as a club legend, but as he stated in that interview his podcast media antics have done him no favours with football fans' who looked up to him. His head is not in the right place now, despite him getting the gig at FGR you still get the impression he would rather be on the sofa of MotD or Final Score giving his analysis.
Fair enough. It’s pretty standard advertising practice and it works. I personally struggle to fathom why it’d annoy someone when he’s not even our player anymore but each to their own!
If everything on Insta is photoshopped, don't bother with a "skincare routine" just photoshop your images like everyone else ! "15 minutes" on skincare ? How does one spend more than a minute ???
Like I said, it annoys me when anyone does it. It's why some celebrities are particularly unlikeable and appear fake (ironically) - it just so happens, somebody posted it here because he's a former player, and I read it because it's to do with managing our club. I haven't hunted down Tamas Priskin's private Instagram and complained about him saying 'Pringles are good'. It's literally in an interview about us. Not sure why that's a struggle to fathom. I enjoyed how it came out of nowhere. There I was reading the usual blather from Troy about something that's never going to happen and then Bam! he's giving me very unconvincing skincare advice.
I reckon they have decided it’s cheaper to promote him than sack him and given him a chance! Good luck to him hope he keeps them up!
Looking forward to another meltdown from the Forest Green owner when we make our move to bring Troy home.
He found out yesterday, thankfully this was spotted pulling up at FGR training facility earlier today.
I hope he now realises that he’s the expendable one now, and can’t go demanding to the hierarchy at clubs “it’s him, or me”…
The Cafe options saw off Big Dunc so I really can't see Troy lasting too long there either . Tofu salad . Yum yum !.
I hope I'm wrong and wish him good luck, but I'm not convinced he has either the maturity or the man management skills to be a successful league manager.
I'm a great believer in the old adage that: I think, in the grand scheme of things, Troy was an adequate player (but had a number of purple patches with us) and I really hope he does well at Forest Green. Much the same as I'm hoping Lloydihno comes good at the 'Wood (but probably not this season).
