Adding to him I do like Joe Rothwell who is on a free, direct runner straight at the heart of the opposition. Seen Blackburn a few times this season and apart from Brereton has been the standout player. Infact there right back Nyambe is also on a free. But I suppose well stick with Kiko and Ngakia. Wallace and Swift on a free too. Semenya from Bristol City is in his final year too. I do agree with your thoughts of having fast players up top because I believe it's the key in the Championship especially away from home. But as always it depends who leaves and stays which is stating the obvious. Twine can't be dismissed and I thought he has looked the business in the games I've seen him in. Yes lacks a little pace but as you said some pace wide and up top would really show his qualities. I just hope they can keep hold of JP and Cucho because I believe between them they could get around 30.

Who do people think we could/should realistically target so we can equip Rob Edwards with the tools he needs. @LouOrns prepared the below and I think our main first team needs are a ball playing CB (some combination of numbers 4 and 6 below), a ballwinner (number 8) and a target man (number 7). Anyone got any good suggestions that could be attainable for these roles?

Stylistically ideal - lots of goals and height - but too dear, I expect. I’d imagine, even with 2 years left, he’d be in the £10-15m range. Some championship number 9s that could be good options: Keinan Davis - Villa supposedly willing to take under £5m as he’s unlikely to be in the first team picture. A top player at this level but not really a goal scorer. Riis (Preston), Obafemi (Swansea) and Gyokeres (Coventry) - good all round strikers. I reckon they’d be in the £5-10m bracket - Riis at the lower end of that and Gyokeres at the higher end. Ryan Mmaee - Moroccan international at Ferencvaros. Lots of goals but not sure if he’s good enough in the air.
I agree - surely signing their most important player would be a real feather in the cap. Like when Arsenal nicked Campbell off Spurs. Adebayo fits the profile well as well.
There's some guy called Gray at QPR who has a better open play goals per minute record this season than all the Championship players in that list... Gyokeres seems a decent prospect, but he would likely cost too much and has been linked with Fulham. Also, Gyokeres and Keinan Davis have an almost identical open goals per minute record this season. Cameron Archer, also a Villa loanee, isn't too far off either's goal records, though isn't so much of a target man. Could be available on loan though. You also forgot Antoine Semenyo, whose scoring is slightly behind Gyokeres and Davies but might offer a bit more in creating chances and also pressing.
His scoring record isn't actually that great though when you take away penalties - Obafemi, Gyokeres, Davis, Riis Jakobsen, and Semenyo all have better (in that descending order). He seems to make quite a few tackles and interceptions though relative to the other strikers on the list (though Semenyo isn't too far off him) , which Edwards might like given his pressing style. Anyway, I'll be keeping an eye on him in the playoff games.
I like Archer but he’s more of a poacher than the others - don’t think he’s what we need. Gray doesn’t offer anything aside from bad goals. Interesting that Davis and Gyokeres have similar strike rates. Davis was playing in a better side but I think most of all it’s not that his goal scoring is bad but just that it lags other aspects of his play which are superb. Think he’d be my pick of the lot though you’d think Forest will be ahead in the queue.
That could depend on if Forest go up though and if anyone actually has the money to buy him outright. Yeah Davis probably has the best all round game of the strikers you mentioned.

He is def a winger more than a forward, and he's also still 17 and not ready yet to play regularly in the Champ. They'll hold on to him and see how he does in cameos off the bench in the Europa/Europa Conference League next season.
If it’s true and he’s already been called up to the full international squad ( all be it could be other reasons why, like having him not representing another country or something) but some kids are ready. @lowerrous - Semenyo is super and someone with whom we’ve been credited with an interest previously but more of a winger/second striker than a target man and anyway too expensive. I reckon he’ll be PL bound for £10m+.
