If you're not making the journey to Cardiff today, the Saints are in National League South action this afternoon at Clarence Park when they take on Eastbourne Borough (the latest team to go full-time in the league after being taken over by Radlett resident, Simon Leslie).

The clubhouse and 4 pitchside bars (yes, a pitchside bar in all four corners of the ground now!) will be serving Mad Squirrel's range of beers and cider including a debut for Brew and Gold - the official St Albans City FC Pale Ale! Also making a debut is the range of sodas from new club partners, Soda Folk!

We have plenty of food options too - a new Dessert stall ( waffles, crepes, muffins, and more..!), a Hot Dog cart, and Chicken George Jnr as well!

Pre-match the big screens in the clubhouse and the FanZone will be showing **** v Spurs live and from 4.45pm the big screens will be showing England v Samoa in the Rugby World Cup!

Tickets are available to purchase online and at the turnstiles ( card payments only). Kick-off is 3.00 pm

My local team and I’d heard they had made a push to move up a level - although not started the season too well. I was surprised to hear attendances can go as high as a couple of thousand at that level! What do the Saints get normally?

Average 1500 so far this season with 1500-1800 expected today. Last season we had several games 2000+ and a couple over 3000. Saints unbeaten in their last 4 league games

Saints still look in contention, only two points from the play-offs and actually 6 from the top with a game in hand. The top looks surprisingly different with three relegated sides (Yeovil, Torquay and Maidstone) and one promoted (Aveley) up there and where have Taunton and Bath come from? Would’ve thought Dartford would be challenging as well (still could). It looks like it’s going to be quite tight with no team running away from it as Ebbsfleet (who are always up there when at this level) did last season.

Sorry to see Saints lost 3 craft beers to 2. Unfortunately Chicken George couldn’t score a couple near the end.
