The fella quoted in the other thread is now saying the fee is €1.5m with bonuses. Still seems a high fee but if they're willing to pay it, grab their hands off! https://twitter.com/gokmenozcan/status/1545115060388904966?s=20&t=Kiph5_XSqtnMrbaViQtFhA Tiago *ukur, who agreed with Fenerbah*e, did not attend Watford U-23 Team's training tonight due to his Istanbul travel plan. The player front said that the testimonial with bonuses was 2.5 million € . However, they just called and updated this figure to 1.5 with bonuses.
Twitter’s translation is dodgy af but is the original journalist now saying €250,000 fee, with bonuses potentially taking it to €1,500,000? Not mind-blowing (like €2m would have been) but a decent enough fee for a player who was crap in League One. Still young though and if we end up getting the full add-ons then that’s more than fair considering how little we will have aided his development after signing him on a free.
A bit of an odd one really. He stunk the place out at Donnie and was never really going to make it at a higher level. but then he gets a call up to the Turkey national squad and a big side like Fenerbahce want him. Seems like £1.5m is a good deal for one of our no hopers, unless they know something we don't and he turns into the next Hakan Sukur.
Now confirmed by Fenerbah*e. https://twitter.com/Fenerbahce/status/1547316819697991680?s=20&t=RJqxZ2XrMM-VLqlFNGP6kA
This lad has had the most baffling 6 months. After such an ineffective loan at Doncaster, had we released him and he gone straight to this Belgian team, then I’d get it… …but the international debut and transfer to Fernerbahce for a fee bigger than Femenia this summer? Nah. Dodgy as hell
Mogi’s trafficking ring working a treat. The amount of money this guy makes from clubs literally selling/buying duds is incredible.
I thought the initial fee was about £250k? Still, it does make you wonder whether Mogi has a few fingers in pies in Turkey as well!
