I was only saying to Mrs TuT this morning after our return from earthquakes and serious rain in Costa Rica, how pathetic that is. Soon we will be hearing about Drizzle Deirdre and Frost Freddie.

 

People reversing out of drives onto main roads. Yes it's probably a PITA to reverse in to begin with, but it's 100 times more dangerous reversing out.

 

I like it. It has a touch of bathos.

Coincidentally "Hot Tubs" is actually scheduled to be the name for the next period of weather where the max temperature peaks at > 25 degrees for more than 3 days in a row.

It's a danger to pedestrians as well as road users and advised against in the highway code.
9 times out of 10 it's sheer laziness on the part of the person returning home who just can't be arsed to (or is incapable of) reversing in.

What is it about her? I suppose I should like her, but I don’t especially warm to her. Please explain.

 

Not being able to sleep, how is it that you sometimes can’t sleep at 1/2pm in the morning, but around the time your alarm goes off getting up feels like you’re trying to get yourself out of a coma.

 

I just can't stand her smug delivery style. This stern cold delivery and then pause as though she's just delivered something very clever and witty and is waiting for the deserved laughter. She's killed QI for a start. Can't bear her.

 

Because 1/2pm is in the afternoon.

 

Of Denmark maybe but not here. She should be deported.

I genuinely cannot believe that lovely little Sandi Togsvik is offending people! What is the world coming to?

 

I mostly agree, but I don’t know why. It’s not like Stephen Fry wasn’t a bit smug.

Actually, QI is ruined by Alan Davies whose riffs seem to go on forever without raising a laugh.

 

Understandably but we should be prepared to pay.

 

Alan Davies was the glue of the show initially. Him being prepared to say the obvious thing and make a fool of himself, contrasting with a panel mixed of erudite people with interesting facts, or comedians with great bits to insert.

It's gone on too long though and now he's become like the embarrassing dad in the room with an outdated brand of comedy seemingly designed to amuse himself.

Sandi though is great. She should be smug. She's amazing.
