    99mph 4th Prediction league 2011/12

    Starts again tonight (10th May 9pm BBC1)

The next wave of pious arrogant nutters compete to win the favour of Lord Sugar, formerly Surralan.

I do like this program, god knows why as they all are guaranteed to irritate me. Despite it not really being about business at all, I do think it's quite entertaining and cringe worthy.

Any one else planning to watch the start of the new series tonight?

Absolutely not. More thick, attention seeking wannabees.

Yes, definately. I never shout at the TV as much as when I watch these complete loons.

They just loose all common sense when they enter this show.

    I love it!

That's pretty much why I watch it. To get annoyed...

I reckon there will be people competing to be this years Stuart Baggs

I love the Apprentice, however last year for the first time it seemed more of a game show than ever before. I am normally quite a placid bloke but if I ever saw that Stuart Braggs fella or whatever his name is I would do well not to put one on him. The bloke is a complete weapon.

Will miss Stuart Baggs "The brand" but will definitely be watching this series.

Yeah, I'll be watching. Even though it's pretty stupid, for some reason it's compelling TV.

    Well I'm right/not surprised.

    All of them are bell-ends

Knew it was going to be him from the beginning.

I like the guy in the glasses and beard. He's my favourite so far.

Good to see Tommy Smith and Aidy Boothroyd represented.

    Bell-end quotes of the week:

"Don't tell me the sky is the limit when there are footsteps on the moon"

"Not only am I the youngest...I...I...I am also the shortest"

Agree LBH, unsure whether I'm going to watch it as last year, like Top Gear, it seemed to be running out of steam and ideas rather quickly. At times it seemed a tad desperate even.

Haven't watch it yet, probably will at some point today on iplayer and see if its any good.

I thought I had heard somebody say that but I thought they had got it wrong; delighted they haven't though as the clip of episode two looked very good.

very good last night. i can't believe the girls team didn't get more flack for not actually spending all of the £250. bizarre decision, what the hell were they keeping it for?

I like the Irish guy. There is woman with a really annoying voice. The right person went.

These are my observations so far.

Indeed. The PM lauded herself for being one to make ‘bold decisions and be brave’, but then chose to show caution by not spending the entire budget. She was all talk and I don’t rate her chances. Still, you have to roll with the punches…

First time i've ever watched it, and thought it was really interesting. Going to try and make a habit of watching it.

    Observations so far.

All of the contestants are rude arrogant and clueless and wind me up something chronic.
Alan Sugar is as rude arrogant and self opinionated as ever.

P.S. I haven't seen any of it and will go out of my way to avoid it but I bet the above is right.
Reality/gameshow/rate my performance television is ruining the medium.

Only thing I can think of is globally the app name seemed better

Which would you get, ampi app or slangatang?

    Lord Sugar agrees with me

    I'd load slangatang

The boys team were by far better. Ridiculous tbh. How many of the girls ones would've been deleted right away.

An elephant picture with a dog noise is inexcusable.
    Me too.

Agreed, I think he has the best chance of winning.

The problem is, will Americans/Australians/Japanese people care, or even know about, regional accents like Scouse or Welsh?

I disagree. I think this year they are far stronger than previous years in terms of personalities and previous achievements.
Yeh. They were by far and away the most proactive team, and they were giving out sweets and things at the promotion place.

Thought they genuinely deserved to win.

The right guy went again tonight. Until he piped up under pressure, I'd never seen him on screen.

That Jim is a slick operator. Getting himself out of the boardroom and also handling the ******** magazine objections about offensiveness quite well.

I'd employ him like a shot.

Scouse optician to go next, although there are two of the girls in the boardroom who I've not seen do anything.

I seriously hope the deep voiced, Dalai Lama, thick eyebrow girl goes soon. She is ghastly. As is Edna. Pure evil.

Ampi App won because it begins with an A. If the boys app had begun with a number it would have probably won. Jim making the PM change his mind on who to bring back was great TV!

It truly shocked me. Thought the boys had that under wraps easily. There's load of sh*tty useless apps on the App Store and the girl's app fitted right into that category.

The doughnut idea did make me laugh, good idea, they deserved it.

If it had only been a UK market the boys would have won, they did not target the global market, end of story :dismay:
