Takeover or not ?

So then, what's the update from the normal members ''IN THE KNOW''.....

I haven't heard anything since monday....

 

Not, would be my guess.

 

We need some fans that are in the money, rather than in the know.

Perhaps our status and entertainment has been subsidised by millionaires for so long that we do not realise we are really more like Orient or Brentford (who were once both First Division big clubs too)

 

It's all crap obv.

 

What was all this Bubble was saying in the shoutbox today, only caught a few lines of it, something about an imminent take over at the end of the month?

Nothing is going to happen. Its just a few people on here trying to make out that they have some credibility, by pretending they know something is going to happen.

 

there are several members on here though who do have a shred of credibility though. bubble was the original breaker of the news and LBH (watford legends) who is perhaps relatively more likely to know something also agreed.

it would be very interesting if someone could repost what was said in the shoutbox, for the benefit of those of us who were at the game.

 

If there was a takeover about to happen dont you think it would of been all over the watford observer yesterday.

 

Bubble has been right about many things over the last couple of years. I would sit tight.

 

of course not. why leak something like that to a newspaper of all things, there is a chance things like this don't go through.

the club is probably trying to keep things quiet to ensure that us fans dont get carried away.

 

What, that crummy rag? It's days of getting Watford FC exclusives are long gone along with the club's co-operation with releasing big news to suit their print deadline. All they do now is recycle rumours from on here. So in actual fact it'll probably be all over next weeks paper!

 

Are you trying to say that a few nobody's on here know about a takeover, but yet the watford observer dont know about it. If they was even the slightest truth in the takeover rumors, there would have been something in the watford observer about it.

 

I would say that crummy rag is alot more credible then this site. Most of the rumours on this site come from glory horn or 606 anyway.

I think there are a few people on here that get there rumours from other sites, then try and past them off on here as there own.

 

They might know about it but that doesnt mean that they can put it in print yet...

 

Sources will not be revealed, and i'm not one to get people excited when there is no reason to be so, however I am in a position to believe that indeed a takeover is a possibility.

 

From what I am told it is very close, it is not an Indian family (however the puns have been great fun), and it could even be done by the end of this month. Project number one is to complete the SW corner and build a new east stand.

This takeover talk is ALL crap. If you believe any of it then you're stupider than the person who came up with the story in the first place.

I can assure you it is not crap. They have been coming to games for three months now and is 'all but done' to quote the person I know.

To be honest, i'm not going to pass comment, but i'm happy enough to go by what Bubble has said and wait 'till the end of the month. In essence that is when our current funding ends, so that is when something will/could happen.

Bubble was sincere enough in the Shoutbox about it this afternoon - and whilst nothing may happen, I wouldn't dismiss the rumour until you can be certain. Take that view, and i'll like to hear what you have to say come December if Bubble is in fact right.

Currently though, nothing has changed in my mind, we're still in the same situation as we were a week ago, and we'll continue to go that way until something happens, whether it be in a week, month or year.

 

I think there is credibility in LBH and Bubble's contacts.

The only person i know who is involved with the club said " investment " rather than takeover when i spoke to them.

We could really do with a substantial investment then with some of the current shareholders departing the scene otherwise we're just going to invite more problems for the future. There are already too many egos in play.

 

A lot less than in recent times though.

God i hope some investment comes in.

 

The Russos, Simpson and Ashcroft are all still major shareholders. Plus David Fransen and that's 4 different groupings each with significant stakes and no doubt different agendas and ideas. I hope we don't add a 5th.

 

Hopefully someone will come and take one or two of these out of the equation

i would imagine the russo canuting canut had a different agenda as he proved, wanted to buy the shares for 3p or was it 4p - which they stated was a very good offer at the time they made the offer. So the canut should only get 4p for his shares max, would the slimely little red faced canut take 4p? -

It would seem that GS remains wanting the RIGHT investor/OWNER for WFC as does Mr F, the Lord would probably want to see his investment not make a loss.

I wish Bubble could tell us more, I do kinda believe him but what about the whole Simon Cox thing?

I just want to know whats going on so I know when were getting a new East Stand

 

I believe Bubble and LBH, as people have said these two have been pretty spot on before. So all I would say to everyone is have some patience. What's waiting two weeks or so for news, when we've been waiting far longer for anything positive to happen!?
