Has walked out of Hearts! Centre back, club captain, could be a decent signing on a free?

i have a feeling rangers or celtic would want him and a number of prem clubs such as everton. did he not play for coventry a fair few years ago?

he has certainly improved a lot. hopefully a few other scotish players will leave as craig gordon is possibly the best keeper in the UK, and would be a great signing

Surely he'd want to test himself in the Premiership rather than the pub division again?

I'm sure Aidy could persuade him to come in on a contract until the summer?

I’m sure there will be a scramble for his services, especially now he is on a free. Would be a good addition to the squad, but sadly I can’t see him coming to us.

I was going to post this last week but I would just get the usual abuse of being a Jock. He fits directly into the type of player Aidy wants, he is hungry, passionate, cares about his club and the players around him.

    Sign him up Aidy.

Agree with you there Birdy, what has happened at Hearts is a joke and Romanov is a tool of the highest order.

Watford are in the scramble of clubs lining up a January swoop for Hearts captain Steven Pressley following his Tynecastle exit.
Pressley's exit from the Jambos comes as no surprise after the Scotland international voiced concerns about the way the club was being run by majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov.
A mad scramble is set to start for his signature and Watford along with Celtic, Reading and Sheffield United are all said to have expressed an early interest.

Pressley can only move in the January transfer window and it is thought he is keen to try his luck in the Premiership, where former team-mate Andy Webster is plying his trade with Wigan following his protracted transfer in the summer.

Adrian Boothroyd has been looking to strengthen his side all season and he will be keen to add Pressley to his ranks but the list of clubs interested is likely to grow as the window approaches so he will have many options to choose from come the New Year.

we're gonna have this problem with every we go to sign. AB is gonna have to play his cards close to his chest.

Therefore I believe one minute we won't know anything and the next he'll reveal a signing.
