Told today by my source that Matt Spring is off to Norwich. He didn't know if it was a loan or a permanent switch but the deal should be finalised this week. My guess is that it will be permanent.
I hope it's only a loan - if we do get relegated he'll be very useful next year. If we stay up then sell him.
do you think they would notice if we gave them damian francis instead? good deal, hopefully perhaps loan with option of 300k at end of season. if we were to go down, we could always get him back that way
I hope so! Rather keep spring over francis. I suppose they are both further down the pecking order with willimson coming in.
If we go down, he will be a good player for us like he was last season, therefore I hope it is just a loan at the moment.
Its a real shame about Springy, was quality last year but has not taken his chance on the rare occasions he has played this year, to be fair he has hampered his chances with a couple of shockers. Can still a job though I'm sure but love the idea of shipping him and Francis out for Earnshaw!! not going to happen though, is it........
I hope he stays or just goes on a loan. He's so good when his confidence is high and hearing Gavin highlight his contributions in training shows that he is still passionate about what he does.
you can see spring can't cut it in the premiership. He's a good championship player and was a key player for us last season. If it is permanent then good luck to him.
