    Sweden and now Italy.

What is going on in the EU?

Good thing we got out of that hot bed of extreme right wing fascism when we did? Surely. You will, I am sure, note that the EU's propensity for facilitating far right politics has been one of my Brexit arguments from the start.

Feel free to start your own thread on the subject, if you are uncomfortable replying to one of my posts...

I'm not convinced still being in the EU would have resulted in 'European' right wing fascism (as if it could ever be viewed as a single 'movement') being exported to the UK. It's also not as if the UK needs any help from crazy EU right-wing ideologues; we've got a cabinet made up of our very own British (or, more properly, English) variety.

So you don't think I, or anyone else, should be worried by a rise in fascism among the member states that will, presumably, start to impact on EU policy and thinking at some stage?

As for the UK, we had basically a left wing Conservative party under Boris, and the right wing of the party, aided by you chaps on the left, managing to push further to the right.

I said it woukd happen. It happened. And the left wing were among the most enthusiastic in achieving it. So the left got what it wanted. Don't complain, and don't be surprised if the tories win at the next election either. Things are likely to look better in a year or so, but I still regret the direction the Government has been dragged by Boris Derangement.

Here's hoping that Labour will move into the gap. There are signs that it may do that, and they may win my vote. The suspension of Huc today for her disgusting racist comment is a start.
