Yes the Clattenburg experiment was always going to end in tears... Mark Clattenburg resigns in wake of Nottingham Forest VAR controversy (msn.com)

The arrogant t***pot ex-ref probably sold Forest's owner Evangelos 'rich but dim' Marinakis, some tosh that he knew the right people to persuade them to ensure VAR decisions would suddenly start to turn miraculously to Forest's advantage. Unfortunately the Greek kebab's solo effort in strongarming Paul 'snooker ball' Tierney to overturn Klopp's late winner at the City Ground didn't succeed.

Clattenburg's efforts to 'out' Bedfordshire's favourite ref, Stuart 'Hatterwell' as a season ticket holder at the Kennel, before and after Ashley Young's hat-trick of fouls against Forest, was as subtle and well-judged as every decision he ever made in his reffing career. P45 for Mr Clattenburg!

Don't count on it. Everton are safe so have nothing to play for whereas the scum do

    They have missed Adebayo recently.

The Sky commentators seem at a loss as to why Ashley Young might be the target of the L*t*n fans’ verbal abuse.

Haven’t been watching the game so did Luton bombard them with crosses in the dying minutes?

According to the BBC their shots went from 14 to 17 in the space of a minute!

Feel Luton had to win that one with Forest at Sheff U tomorrow

Got West Ham and Fulham to play .

Where did that 6 minutes of added time come from?!! 1-1 with no long injuries. The ref even added another couple of minutes beyond that so Luton could have 2 more corners and a free-kick. Still wasn't enough for them though.

  12. lowerrous

They got 2 corners followed by a wide free-kick late in extra time (late as in a ridiculous 6 minutes of added time were signalled, and then all 3 of those final moments happened in 2 minutes after the 6 minutes were already up).

    Too little, far too late.

    Let's hope so.
If Forest don't beat Sheffield United they don't deserve to stay up.

Why did Young Ashley Young have to compete against the hulk of a Filth forward?

Why not Branflake or Tarker the Otter?

    Seemed odd.

Agree a Forest win and they will need 4 points from West Ham and Fulham. Hopefully Sheff Utd players are on the beach. Need Forest to score first.

That was a must win for Scum Town. They would have hoped Everton’s guaranteed safety would mean they took their foot of the gas, but it wasn’t to be and a point isn’t enough. Hopefully Forest end it once and for all

Any other season 25 points with 2 to play would see that team relegated.

Yes a huge game at Sheffield today. I’m sure Luton can get points from their last 2 but 4 would be tough and even then Forest would only need one more point from their last 2. Realistically Luton would probably need to win both……IF Forest win, which isn’t guaranteed.

The keeper , LB and Adebayo will probably be sold to those teams coming up or to Brentford to replace Toney in Adeybayos case .
Barkley will also be off . IMO .

There’s also the appeal against the points deduction to factor in.

  22. The undeniable truth

Do we know when that will conclude? Presumably they will draw it out so they can make an adjustment that doesn’t affect relegation, if they are able ? Could the appeal result in an increase like a spurious red card appeal ?

  23. Keighley

    Keighley First Team

There was discussion that it would happen this week, but obviously not.

I’m not sure about the drawing it out theory, couldn’t it have the opposite effect? Fine if Forest are well clear but could upset the apple cart if the two (three?) clubs are close.

On the latter, I doubt it but I must confess I don’t know.

If Forest win today then that lot will start to need snookers as they would then need Burnley to beat Forest whilst not picking up any other points on the way .

With Burnley playing Forest on the last day of the season, any appeal needs to be sorted out before then.

Appeal pending, it's Forest to lose now. Luton dropped two massive points last night and all Forest have to do is win their final games and they send both Burnley and Luton down regardless. However, this is still a massive task in itself and Forest's form has been dire. I would say if anyone looks likely to get out of this over these final 2/3 weeks, then Burnley seem to have something more about them. Luton are only in the relegation zone on GD but it's a massive nine goal swing. Like many have said above, it could well go down to that Forest Burnley game to who stays up and hopefully by that time Luton would be down.

Oh God, don’t do this. You’ve already said that the title is Liverpool’s and Arsenal’s to lose…

SU the better side against NF in the first half. Look more likely to win. Forest should never have sacked Cooper.

Sheffield Utd just one goal from making it a century of goals conceded - quite an achievement to do it in 36-38 games when it took minnows Swindon Town to do it in 42 and even Derby were nowhere near as bad in that department.
