They will stay up. If they don’t catch one of the 3 above them, they will be saved by the upcoming Everton and NF points deductions.

 

Don’t get too cocky, They will beat Forest.

 

Hopefully NF will be fresher too.

I think that's it for Luton now, assuming neither Forest nor Everton suffer points deductions. To be 3-0 up at half time, away, and end up losing will surely completely butcher their resolve. Difficult to see how they can bounce back from this, especially with the hardest run-in of the borderline relegation candidates lying in wait for them.

 

Seems like a pretty big assumption! I wouldn't be too optimistic on that front.

 

I agree, it's a devastating loss, you don't come me back from that.

 

If only one of the bottom two could string a couple of wins together, that would apply pressure as well. I still think they may be saved by points deductions for other clubs which would be a pity.

 

Luton are at home to NF at the weekend. Huge game, but surely both Everton and NF will be hit with 6-10 point deductions probably keeping Luton up with the record min points ever ?

 

I think that’s somewhat premature give the potential points deductions and the fact they play Forest next, win that and they’re out of the bottom with the prospect of Forest probably losing at least another 3 points. It could all change again in the very next game and will no doubt change several times again after that.

 

They will beat Forest.

 

If they do, three days after last night’s defeat and the manner of it, then all credit to them.

 

It's not often that I record and watch a Luton game. It was astonishing that it was 0-3 at half time with Bmouth having had by far the better chances.
Hopefully the physical and emotional fatigue from that game will work against them for the game on Saturday, with NF fresher and with a full week to prepare for what they know will be a crucial game. I am fearful though, given NF are on a v poor run and think they'd have had a better chance of staying up under Cooper.

 

Agreed. From the outside, sacking Cooper seemed odd.

 

Yes a good coach, but on a bad run of results and a change purely looking for a new manager bounce I suspect. I hate clubs that do that.

Can't see it myself. They put up a fight at home against the big teams but seem to roll over quite meekly against similar opposition.
