Sky saying we all wanted to see them stay up. I didn’t, spent a gazillion pounds of dodgy money, signed a hundred players . Nil entertainment from them, almost certainly broken ffp. All that’s wrong with football in my humble opinion

With the way Spuds are playing you have to fancy Leeds there as well. West Ham away is not as easy game though, but they will have to be up for it from the off.

Moyes and his boys will be hungover.

Played Thursday night away in an intense game, reached a final, players would have knocks after putting everything into the game. They also would have celebrated and enjoyed the moment. They are now 100% safe in the Prem. Moyes will want all his best players available for the final. No point in risking them in a nothing game against Leeds and risk injuries so soon after playing a game.

I would love Moyes to drop a whole bunch of their first team players because of “slight knocks” and infuriate the Everton fans.

Arsenal had nothing to play for. The title was long gone.

It was still mathematically possible (however small that was) but I think we all know they gave up after City did them 4-1. Still, they could well end the season losing their final three games and considering where they started, that is going to feel awful.

It may be that without extra investment Arsenal have reached a ceiling. They should beat Wolves at home easily to finish on 84 points, which would be 2.21 points per game. That's certainly impressive for a team that hasn't even qualified for the Champions League since 2016 and since it became three points for a win in 1981, that would have been enough to win the title pre-Abramovich, with the exception of in 1987/88 (when Liverpool won it with 90 points in 40 games) and Man Utd and Arsenal's record-breaking seasons in the early 2000s. However since 2003/04 it's only been enough twice (in 2010/11, when the Premier League was unusually competitive, and 2015/16 when Leicester won it). Chelsea (who have actually underachieved quite a bit with all those billions), Man City and now Newcastle are ruining the competition, but at least there remain some surprises from 6th place downwards.

Because I like Arsenal about as much as a kick in the goolies.

Man City winning the league is an irrelevance, they spend 100 times more than everyone else. Even their fans don't really give a ****. Arsenal fans would be intolerable if they won. I now look forward to their continued slump as they get found out in Europe and can't cope with the extra games in the season and disappointment in bottling their chance this year.

Man City winning the league is not an irrelevance to Football when it’s their 5th title in 6 seasons. Do you find Arsenal fans to be any more intolerable than Liverpool fans? Man Utd Fans? Spurs fans? Chelsea fans? Which club actually has fans nice enough for you to accept them winning the league over a team that has cheated their way to it multiple times?

Even Gary tried to bring the issue up regarding their charges .

Shearer sort of brushed it off probably because Newcastle will try to do the same eventually.

I’m a bit conflicted about Newcastle.
On the one hand the top 4 due to money spent would always tend to be Citeh, United, Liverpool and Chelsea. Spurs are falling away and Arsenal won’t be able to repeat this season. So it’s good that NU will challenge the established top 4 spenders, 5 into 4 doesn’t go, …..but bankrolled by rich, unethical state ….plus Sir Eddie…

I'd like Man City to win it every year. Until the other big sides get fed up, until the Fans get fed up and until the FA gets fed up and finally act on FFP or rewrite FFP.

I don't want Arsenal winning it with the fans of theirs that I know, it would be quite irritating. If you don't agree, fine. I'll accept my Schadenfruede at Arsenal failing is greater than my disgust at Man City, which I guess makes me a bit of a ****. But I'm fine with it.

It’s the Premier League that need to act on it (it’s their competition and their rules that are being broken) and they have, they’ve charged City with over 100 counts of cheating. They’ve been cheating for some time, paying people off the books, over inflating sponsorship. So you’ll be pleased to know you don’t need to wait any longer to despise City and hope they don’t keep winning the league after all.

    It's a joke of a competition.

Bald fraud being described as a genius. Firstly it's a sport not some artistic or scientific endeavour we're talking about here. Second it really is being bankrolled to titles. Nothing more and nothing less. They've continually flouted the regulations. The real congratulations ought to be going to their commercial department and the way it hides sponsorships and off the field payments. There simply is no level playing field. There never has been but today it's sop tilted in favour of the petrodollar state backed clubs and those who have sugar daddies.

As Bellingham said it truly is a plastic club. I'm praying somehow Internazionale deny them the CL.

Wolves should have buried Everton. And had Brighton not had an off day they would almost certainly have been relegated by now.

Well that, is pretty much that.
Everton won't lose to Muff so Leicester are dead if they lose at NUFC.
Leeds would need to win by 3 vs spurs and Everton to draw or lose to Muff.

He has signed a contract to coach Uruguay.

Stranger things have happened this season. If Leeds can get an early goal to go ahead with the way Spurs are at the moment who knows. Bournemouth are playing well, the pressure is on Everton. And hearing of the other scores well it can play with players emotions and performance. Leicester must win at Newcastle. Ideally we need Leeds and Everton down. The former because it's Allardyce the latter because it's Everton.

Bournemouth have lost their last three, but that could make it tougher for Everton as they can be tricky opponents at times and their manager won't want them to lose four games in a row. I don't think Leeds will get more than a draw against Spurs as the players don't seem to have much fight, Big Sam seems to have lost the ability to shut up shop and with the awful run they're on surely the Spurs players have some pride (not to mention a place in Europe still to play for) and will want to stop the rot and not lose to yet another relegation candidate.

I think there could be another twist in store, Leicester to beat West Ham and stay up on a measly 33 points. Being relegated at home to Bournemouth would be a humiliating way for Everton to go down, though not the most humiliating (Sunderland being relegated to the third tier by Burton and recently Hartlepool by Crawley after only two seasons back in the FL are surely worse).

No chance that Everton lose to Muff to enable Leeds to stay up with a win.
No chance that Leeds win by 3 goals vs Spurs, to stay up if Everton only draw.
Unless there's an exceptional result at Newcastle this week, the relegation battle is effectively done.
