Can't see too many renewals in the 2013 catagory. Bennett maybe and Whichelow if he can find his potential
I don't think we should be duly worried about the expirees. I think most Football League sides would have more than half their squad in their last year of the contract. Keeps players on their toes I suppose. It's also dangerous if you've got a player who has had a good six months or young with potential though. Swings and those roundabouts.
I can imagine us offering new contract extensions (one year, at least) to the following players: Almunia Hall Yeates (on the basis of his new-found form) Deeney Doyley Assombalonga Bond Bonham
Would you offer a long contract with FPL coming in. About time over paid players got their wings clipped.i bet all clubs are doing the same
Hopefully introduction of FPL will bring wage levels down to more sensible levels allowing clubs like ours to compete a little more easily with some of the so called big guns
2013 is much more futuristic than mundane 2012, i mean just say: TWO THOUSAND AND THIRTEEN. Gentlemen, I give you the future
SM hasn't offered me a new deal as of yet with 6 months left. I'm just enjoying my posting for the time being and am happy at Watford. The fans have been great to me, i've got Watford in my vains. Whatever happens though, I will always be grateful. Villa have been in touch, it's down to the clubs now. FML
No chance. Zero. Nada. All FFP does is widen the gulf between champ and prem. Sugar daddies will continue to inject vast sums of cash into clubs via sponsorship (Etihad) whilst EPPP means smaller clubs can't grow a future, as promising players will be stolen for peanuts.
Those discussions are underway TOR but I can't comment on that, it'd be unfair on me. Villas a FANTASTIC club but so is Watford. Fantastic.
I'm going back to the villa forum after my loan which may end early. Mate. Just waiting on my medical to go through. Fml. Meme world.
I only have a year left of my contract, however I feel i'm likely to be forced out by the recent influx of Italian and Spanish members who have signed this season. There just isn't the same opportunity for academy lads on here anymore :dismay:
I would like to make it clear to all other interested clubs, of which I know there are many, that I intend to stay with WFC for the rest of my career!!! Sorry to disappoint you all, but that is just the way it is, end of!!!
I haven't really settled here after the new manager took over a few months back, and the journalists are far to much round this area. I'll be leaving on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Productive meeting with my agent this morning. Talks are ongoing. SM is playing an interesting game, I will not rise to it. The rumours about Villa are wide of the mark, I love it at Watford, i'm good mates with Mensah and co, i'm a man of integrity, I would NEVER move to Arsenal, no no no.
I've heard various rumours and I believe the Watford Observer has caught wind of it. Apparently you're 31 and 54 years old?
