So reports that 50%-85% of petrol stations are dry. This seems a bit more than panic buying? (If % is true)

I would still like to hear what you and the others find so objectionable about Hooter's words (and which ones) in the debate.

So the thread was locked, then unlocked, yet you still want to pick over the bones of why it was locked??

Probably best to leave it wouldn’t you say?

It’s all there for you to read, if you still need help let any of us know.

Is it so difficult for you just quote the offensive words, as it will help us all avoid threads being closed again.

As I said, the thread is there for you to read. Do your own homework.

But it is your accusation, your state of mind, I can't speak for what offends you. Why are you so shy, if you think you have a genuine complaint?

But nothing offended me? I didn’t lock the thread?

Who exactly did I accuse of anything????

You just come over as Billy No Mates supporting Hooter for post after post.

Read the thread, it’s all very clear and don’t start the argument again here. If you don’t think a line was crossed, then you don’t. Everyone can draw their own conclusions about that.

Right, why not just say that in the first place? You found nothing offensive in what he said, and you aren't accusing him of anything.

    Great, I agree with you.

Your agreement with GOBE as he whinges about Hooters tactics and accusations led me to believe that you agreed with him.

My apologies, let's move on then.

I'm not drawing any conclusions, that is why I am asking for help. Just point out Hooter's exact words that crossed the line in that thread. Straightforward and simple. It is far better to just clarify it all now than leave vague accusations flying about everywhere.

"Your honour, he committed a hate crime."

"Oh, that's serious, what did he actually do?"

"I'm not telling you. Work it out for yourself!"

  11. 90% according to The Times. Slightly annoying as the Ghostbike is running on fumes. The Ghostmobile is full of petrol and has a full battery as well though!

They are not vague on the other thread. Stop trying to derail this one.

  13. zztop

    zztop Eurovision Winner 2015

They are totally vague as you make accusations of him saying something that he hasn't said (as far as I can see), no post # reference, or the actual words he used. Just post the reference, and the exact words. Do it on this thread or the other thread if you prefer. Fill your boots.

Disappointing evening and need a row?

  15. zztop

Just post the exact words, FFS. No row, no arguing, just back up your accusation with specifics. You complain about him all the time, but never with any specifics, just do the decent thing.

If you can't then I, and everyone else, will know it is all made up BS.

I don’t know why people don’t simply go out and just buy a new car. Virtually every dealer sells them with a full tank, simples.

The vast majority of us can do without fuel for a while.

Get your unfit kids to walk to school for a change. Order some online food. Get on a bike, (no cars on the roads as they're all queuing for fuel). Work from home where possible. Sorted.

This truly is the silliest Country on Earth. There is apparently nothing the people and it’s comedy Government can’t turn into crisis.

A petrol shortage when we have plenty of petrol. Well done everyone!

I think it’s because everyone has worn out their common sense gene during the pandemic. It was after all essential to do so to fill in the vacuum where most other countries had competent governance.

It's just a continuation of the same sort of behaviour at the start of the pandemic. The same selfish shortsightedness and me, me, me mentality. I genuinely think that large sections of the population are very antisocial, selfish and very dumb. Should there happen to be a major catastrophe the thin veneer of civilization will peel away here quicker than in most nations.

The number of idiots blocking roads today as they queue for petrol has been mind boggling. The lack of critical faculties in many is a horror to behold.

    It’s totally self defeating.

It does not affect me too much as I am resisting the call to return to the office (no fuel to get me to the station), so have negotiated another week WFH. Helpful to have a boss who lives on some remote cambridgeshire estate and has to drive to Ely to get to the city.

So next week I can see the public mood turn to vengeance. With a community United in a refusal to buy petrol at all next week. Let the refineries over flow with the stuff to the point that they have to shut down the oil distillation units and lay off the lorry drivers because the petrol stations don’t need replenishing. That’ll teach them.

As a diesel engine owner, I know in an emergency I can get by with a couple of gallons of crisp n dry or any other vegetable oil on offer. In fact if I top up with that; tomorrow instead of getting bored working from home I might join a few queues at Tesco or Asda, and when it’s my turn at the pump, simply walk to to the kiosk and buy a few bags of coal and chuck it in the boot. It’s refuelling after all.

The military are going to step in. That would be the same military that can't meet its manpower requirements for its own needs.

You can put vegetable oil in a diesel?!

I feel sorry for people like taxi drivers and tradesmen who need to use their vehicles all day every day. The stupid thing is the majority of normal modern cars are pretty economical. When I worked in town I used to commute to a station 11 miles away so 22 miles a day. I had a diesel 1 series and only had to fill it up every 6 weeks or so. Yet you’ve got these idiots filling up Jerry cans when for most of them a full tank would probably last them a month as it is.

I'm in Spain at the moment but I'm due back tomorrow. What's the feeling on the street?

Are people still queuing? Are pumps/stations still empty?

I would have thought the madness would be ending soon!

I didn't insult anyone. You came in with an implication I was being racist, along with your other regular insults, in a manner that clearly showed you believe all slavery in the UK is perpetrated by Muslims (because, as I explained, that was far from my belief), and then, I assume, once again complained that I called you a racist. One of your posts even said I wouldn't get away with "this".

You are the only person on here who does the things you complain to the mods about. Show me one post on this thread where I am abusive to you? yet your posts are peppered with abusive remarks and implications of racism about members who disagree with you.

You are the problem with discourse on this forum. Stop insulting people because they disagree with you, or stop complaining about yourself.

  33. HenryHooter

No. Just want some evidence, which should be very easy for you to reference. The fact you don't makes it pretty clear you don't have it. Right now, you are making yourself seem evasive, and Hooter look innocent.

Don't let me get away with it Moose. Show people the evidence. Tell them why you think British Muslims are slavers, when I never made any such claim, and reports on the subject did not make that link, to the best of my knowledge. You are the only person I know of, possibly in the country, who made such an assumption.

Yet you accuse everyone else of racism, except yourself.
