Depending on whether the Assistant Coaches leave, it would not, strange as it sounds be a stupid idea to make Troy player mgr while selection is ongoing. He wouldn't need to get involved with getting new players etc. He appears to have the respect of players, he is hard nosed and from listening to him on radio seems pretty analytical about tactics.

Thomas Tuchel. Maybe Gino has been sorting out a deal with Mainz 05 to finally let him manage another team. Could be absolutely great for us, turned Mainz 05 into a formidable team with limited resources.

Although, recent transitions from German football to English have not been great - Solbakken and Magath, for example. Still, Tuchel in!
