Twenty-five people have been arrested in raids across Germany on suspicion of plotting to overthrow the government. The group of far-right and ex-military figures are said to have prepared to storm the parliament building, the Reichstag, and seize power. A minor aristocrat described as Prince Heinrich XIII, 71, is alleged to have been central to their plans. Absolutely barking and let’s face it, there’s a few who’d like to try this over here. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-63885028
Lunatics like this are, as I have said before, a major reason for my wanting to leave the EU. As corrupt and inefficient as democracies can be, it is down to the people as a whole to decide when enough is enough, not just a yet another bunch of lunatic elitists who think they know what is best for everybody. A revolution against the EU will happen if the people want it, and it will not be stopped by a few arrests. Whilst they are prepared to accept it, this type of coup, which I am taking at face value, is as bad as every other. That said. It is a very convenient plot for the establishment, helping build the narrative that democracy is under threat, and free speach is the enemy of the people. I hope this dose not turn out to be a Jan 6 styled excuse to use a handful of idiots to apply more authority. A sock puppet rebellion painted as the greatest threat to democracy since the last one. Thankfully, I don't think European people are as easily led as Americans.
I wonder if the Fatherland's dismal showing in the World Cup prompted this not very impressive 'uprising'?
And 25 arrests! Wow that is a LOT of doors kicked in BAM! and turn everything upside down.....no, nothing. CLEAR! CLEAR! OK.......sorry to have bothered you this evening mein Herr. A minimum of 105 of the raids, each with an average of around 25 cops in attendance, must have been false alarms like that. I would think a lot of right wing loons will have been put off posting their rabid old shyte on the internet for a fair while. And old Prince Heinrich (71) must have shat into his tweeds when all those cops showed up.
The 3rd Baron Mancroft, Benjamin Lloyd Stormont Mancroft maybe? He lost his hereditary seat in 1999, described NHS nurses as ‘grubby’ and ‘promiscuous’ and was caught trying to arrange to illegally hunt foxes with hounds.
