Coincidence. At best it might be him jumping and using that as an excuse before knowing he'll be pushed soon anyway. More likely it's Spurs doing it now to bury the news and to prevent them having to get rid of a manager they don't like any more after they might have won them a (tin-pot) trophy.

Realised they will never win super league, and can’t be relegated, so might as well dispense with his cost and get the tea boy to pick team and tactics ?
Amazing record at Chelsea during his first spell and his first season after his return, but hasn’t done a great deal else here of note - even his media persona has lost its lustre in recent years. Spurs basically got him ten years too late.
This seems to be his level now: big clubs but just a notch down from the very top ones (Spurs/Roma). I suspect he will always be slightly frustrated by that. At some point I think he will have a go at a national team job.
