Its been a few days now and nothing....

The more I watch Aidy and the look on his face after the game v liverpool the more I worry that the off the field unrest (Ash, MK, coaches, new signings, players moving on) is taking its toll on the WHOLE team.

Must feel like EVERYTHINGS up in the air at the moment..... whilst they're all paid to cope with such problems, it cant be easy for those at the Vic right now!

Would still like to know what the ****s going on anyway!

Well you'll be sure of something, they'll cover up as much detail as they can like our club always do, it started right from the beginning with that Devaney thing, the player we spent a fair amount of money on then a few weeks later was surplus to requirements! (had a fight on tour and wouldn't apologise)

Personally I would rather Aidy and co would just concentrate on preparing for the next game that worrying if King will be charged or not (he has been told to report back to police next month which is why nothing has happened since alst week)

As for the coaches....its probably to with lawyers still trying to sort out compensation for Mr Hockaday and the other bloke so not much can be said.

Maybe the sacking of management unsettled the players but then they are the ones who asked for changes if the stories are true?

Transfer talk always happens...the only one maybe affected will be Young.

On the Devaney thing is very rare for you to hear the club say why a player was let go (even for some transfers) although clearly most knew/guessed at the time after the Denmark trip.

Never forget the ****** era and the bad days before that (Petchey etc).

When you think things are bad never forget.

And things aren't bad we are into the second year of a 5 year plan and we are looking good as a club.

KJ, since you have found these boards you have done nothing but be negative and moan. Start taking those anti-depressants, get on the happy pills, put on those rose-tinted spectacles and listen to Paddy.

Paddy is the fattest, ugliest, most horrible human specimen that you could wish to meet but is he happy - absolutely, because the club that he has supported for 30 years plus is in the ascendancy. Live the dream.

 Good post Berko, I remember those horrible Div 4 days when my dog & I sat on the Vic road terrace watching the most abysmal football in a decrepit stadium, we even changed ends at half time like the players!
King James, I can only assume you weren't around in the Jim Bonser & Ron Rollit days!

    Spot on Berko

Especially about Paddy (the fattest, ugliest, horrible bit, that is) ;D ;D ;D

Seriously though KJ you have been a spreader of doom and gloom since you have found this board. As Berko says, stop looking for the negatives all the time and take some happy pills or something :D :D :D

As the song goes...all together now!!!!

Always look on the bright side of life, de da, de da, de da, de da, :D :D :D

Good post Berko. Though has Paddy read it yet. We should enjoy this while we can. I remember last time we were in the prem by the end of the season I was almost glad we went back down so we could start winning some matches, but it was still a memorable experience and this si so much better than playing L***N.

Ron Rollit? He was only the secretary ffs, don't take it out on Ron. He was sec. when we were promoted to the old div. 2 for the first time in our history - I remember those as great days.

I worked at the WO for a few years in the late seventies/eighties when Ron joined the paper, very nice guy stiffed by the club in the end.

And moving from the Vic End to the Rookery end of the bit in front of the Shrodells is one thing i miss from the Div 4 days.

will be even happier if spurs, foolam and newcastle all win in 90 mins tonight. They will be added to wins last night on ipswich, plymouth, m'boro and man city and will pay for a good day out in brum and the overnight stay in manure.

I wonder if your son and daughter agree with you that i am the most horriblist human speciman - surely they are my friends???????????:)

Your money will buy any kids friendship. :) :)

Oops that doesn't sound good does it!!

Do you need the teams to win in 90 mins or just overall? Only danger there may be Foolham v Leicester.

Where are you drinking saturday? Good real ale pub in Aston about 15 minutes from the ground across Aston park - cant remember the name at the moment.

You have good kids Berko, well mannered and behaved, must take after your wife;)

Boozer on saturday - unknown at the moment - no doubt the texts and phonecalls will go around - so i still won't know:)

we are on the 9.35 from wj, don't know what time arriving. May drink in city centre and get TAXI to ground depending on how lazy dougie is feeling.

Now now everyone it's not all doom and gloom!!! (he says defending himself frantically)

Fact is, at the moment, things are looking a bit shaky and my expectations are probably a bit too high, maybe even higher than Aidy's...

I bought what was said after the play off final and quite honestly, things havent materialised as originally suggested.

Also, (in response to those who remember the dark days) luckily, im only 29 and therefore have only experienced the doom and gloom of the 90's and the ****** episode (plus the aftermath after that)

What Im also dissappointed in, is the number of people on these boards that have given up the ghost and see we're down. I think it's ludicrous to give in so damn early with so many more games to go.

Whilst I was utterly devasted on Saturday at that shocking display against Liverpool, theres still hope and while theres hope, theres a chance!!

Dont beat me up for being negative..... Im being critical NOT negative.... I still think we can stay up! Surely as a loyal and diehard fan of this glorious club I'm allowed to be critical??

(also, message to Paddy, ignore them matey I think you're great!)

    Well said KJ. Good response.

But you are wrong about Paddy;)
