The sky PL package is 128 games per season, sky show more EFL games than premier league games, don’t know the breakdown of championship though. It's part of the whole 'every ex player of note who we owned/launched the career of desperately scrabbles to pretend they have never heard of us to wash the stink off' thing - even when, say, Kevin Phillips, is on for a game of ours, as he has been this season, there is no mention of or weight given to the fact that we literally started his professional career - he's just treated as a neutral observer. We are the very height of unfashionability.

Even if he 'recovered', he wouldn't get anywhere near fitness - he's famous for taking ages to be able to chug about again, and he even admitted himself in hindsight that he never did in the 16/17 Mazzarri season after having an interrupted pre-season (which is insane).
