You're best bet is to get public transport in. But I do believe there are numerous car parks around the ground for prices in the region of £5. Some wideboy Mancs offer parking spaces, but be careful not to dive into the first ones you see, as sometimes they can be a fair trek from the ground. I think somebody told me once that there's an away car park, but I'm not 100% certain so don't quote me on it!
Well there is a hospital car park opposite so if we broke down the barrier.... I would let everyone park on our drive the only problem is there's only one space which means even myself and my fellow housemates have to opperate a drive parking 'rotation system'. I'm sure Benitez would be proud!
It's just your regular automatic barrier so I'd guess it's nothing a white van can't handle! ;D You'd have to be careful though, every evening when the car park is empty a man goes there with his radio controled car. He looks like he enjoys his pastime very much and also wears a high vis. jacket so I'd watch out if you got in the way of his large open space!
