Sorry, but these pictures suggest otherwise. He was wowing Bedfordshire's populace in the mid 70s. Here he is, on stage at L**on's Caesar's Palace after his pre-gig snack in the then LFC Club Shop. Went down well with the locals. It's little known that his Tango complexion was the basis for the dayglo orange strip that the sH***ers turned to. Although it's tough to say it, praise where praise is due. Fashion conscious football purists now acknowledge that change as the high point of 70s soccer fashion. A little bid sad though that he was slightly down the musical pecking order at this point.
