Has a triangle head and didn't cost 3 million. It's a no from me.

Decent signing. Always played well against us and loads of championship experience.

Maybe we have learnt some lessons from last season.

Only concern is giving a three year deal to a slightly injury prone 31 year old but I guess it was the length of the deal that attracted him to us in the first place. (I think Leicester only offered a 1 year deal).

How can he be injury prone. He wasn't made less than 37 appearances in any of he last 6 seasons. That's the opposite of injury prone

Very nice. Why do the Pozzos refuse to pay a transfer fee Meldrew?

And related to Lord Bruce Dyer as well - lovely

Does this mean riera isn't staying or are we are changing formation?

Seem to be besotted with 5 at the back so bye bye riera.

Shame as I think he us better than Dyer unless we are playing route 1 football.

Fair point. For some reason I thought he had missed chunks of the last couple of seasons: must have confused him with someone else.

Pudil and Dyer competing for the left wing back spot is healthy competition.

Unless we're going to change formation....

Not only a player with much Championship experience, but somebody who will arrive with a WINNER'S mentality, having played 46 times last season for the side that romped our division.

Would appear to be a very encouraging start to our summer business. Certainly not a dyer signing (sic) :)

If like me you believe that our success rests on the depth of our homegrown players, I think this is a good signing.

Hopefully we will now have Hoban, McGugan and Dyer as the backbone of that quota. Even better still if we can still add Troy to that.

I don't understand this one, not where we need to improve right now is it? He's alright though but 3 years is bat**** mental, he'll be completely useless after 1.

Don't want to moan about it because he's alright, but there's a reason Lesta were only offering him 1 year.

    Lloyd - shoot, shoot

More chance of our new legend Lloyd scoring ;-)

Home grown, Championship experience, versatile for opening line up or as impact sub, fit and not prone to injury (please!), AND, as has been said, a winners mentality...

    Good solid signing..

Why do we need wingers, we play with wing backs? He can't play wingback believe me. Unless we're gonna start playing with 4 at the back, in which case he'll be great for a year.

Maybe a 3 year contract was the only way of convincing him to sign. If he starts going downhill then sell him in a couple of years and get a little fee for him, I don't see the problem.

Think it'll be as much about his leadership qualities around the club as it will be his playing quality.

Filbert where are you?!!!! We need your input here!

I've just had a quick browse of some Leicester fans websites..most seem sad he is leaving them (and lots of nasty comments about the fact he is coming to US and not another club!), but most agreeing with Dev's viewpoint actually that he will be nothing once his pace goes, and that's why they were only offering him a year.

Nobody will take him if there's any sign of his pace going, it's basically all he has. Saying that, pace is an incredible asset and will be useful for a year.

Not the first person I'd mention when it comes to leadership qualities but I'll take your word for it, I'm probably wrong.

And you know for a fact we'll be playing 3-5-2 next season?? Pudil is good and he gives his all but he needs competition and Dyer is a good option with his pace.

Filbert will say something along the lines of: He can't head a ball, can't use his right foot, can't really control the ball...but he is fast, very very fast. And I love him because he's fast and he's comedy to watch sometimes, especially due to his muscle imbalance.

I said he'd be good if we didn't play a 3-5-2. He's not a wingback though, he just can't play there.

Wing back, change of formation, or is someone leaving? Too much to consider and therefore it's a 'no' from me.

Sannino said he would stick with 3-5-2 last season as playing a different formation takes time. We would then sort this in the summer. I think 4-4-2 sounds very likely and if not exactly that it will almost certainly involve 4 at the back

What is the point of having a friendly Lesta supporter if he goes missing at the big moments? It's 'Filbert where are you' from me.

Well he's just played regularly in a team that comfortably won the league, and he's been his this division for most of his career, so I'm sure he'll be a good player around the club.

Most fast wingers can play wingback, the position is far more about speed than tackling ability.
Can Lloyd Dyer play left back? undoubtedly not but he won't be asked to.
