As someone has said, this is essentially our strongest XI, against a Leeds side missing arguably their two best players in Gnonto and Rodon. If we want to be considered capable of anything in particular (and by that I mean a relatively easy slide into midtable mediocrity across the season, rather than a battle at the bottom) we really ought to be doing something non-shameful here.
Men against boys. First team to totally boss us this season. Bachmann has been outstanding. Kone looks like he's won a competition to be a footballer for a day. Hasnt tracked one person who has run off his back.
Given how we've played, 2-0 so far is a generous scoreline for us. Bachmann only player to come out with any credit today.
First time this season, but unfortunately absolutely out classed today they were fast stronger and had more skill we looked 2nd best from the point I managed to get my internet working (15 mins in)
Sierrelta with an all-time level of disastrous performance, no idea how he’s lasted 90 minutes, a genuine hinderance to the team today.
Sounds like Lewington/Dyche or Malky type performance where we were beaten before kick off at a big team . Be the same at a Leicester probably.
Outclassed. Not sure the half time subs helped. Very fortunate to only concede 3. Very lucky to get 0.
The leaden predictability of this result is painful. Did anyone expect anything from it? Poor tactics is the kindest thing I can say.
I’m afraid we got what we deserved. Leeds were better than us all over the field. Much more talented players and work rate. In fairness, I see Leeds being challengers for the title. Bachmann was our man of the match. We have such a lack of creativity. Our new centre forward may have a knack for scoring, but his technical ability is close to zero. Quite concerning.
That must have been horrific for any poor sods who went to that game. We'll play many better games than that this Season but that was a very poor showing. Leeds are definitely a very good side and the difference in decision making / final ball was stark, but we also allowed them so much time so often which is the first time this Season we've seen that happen from us. Part of me wants to say it's just a bad game from all bar Bachmann and move onto the next game, but that does a disservice to those who went today.
Another prediction spot on. It’s just too easy. No one expected a relegation fight apart from me. We’re in one. I have been mocked saying Ismael will be sacked in the October international break……. I honestly think he will be. With games at Sunderland and Cardiff to come. Boro at home HAS TO be a win. If we don’t win that and get the expected losses in those away games, I just can’t see him staying. The squad is not strong enough and that’s down to the jokers running the club. No one else to blame for that. It’s all on Gino Pozzo.
He is completely ******* useless and even manages to stand out in an inept team performance. I’d rather play a one legged Livermore over him
Just have to note, this grandiose claim is absolutely not true. Certainly not the possibility of one. Not that this result definitively means we are in one. But, it's certainly more fuel for the potential fire.
Thoroughly outclassed all over the pitch. Fair play to Bachmann, who made some decent saves. Lewis I thought also gave it a good go, but apart from that, we were shown up as what we are - a mid to lower table championship team.
