India have done well in the middle session, playing out the 31 overs for the loss of only Gambhir. Tendulkar has looked solid, resolute, determined to wipe off the blemish that lack of fourth-innings Test-saving innings has brought. Also he is 17 short of becoming the leading run-scorer in Test cricket; he would love the record to come in a match-saving effort. There are 35 overs to go, India have seven wickets in hand, and they need 169 more. Seems unlikely India would go for it, but stranger things have happened in cricket
