The BBC are reporting a huge fire in William Street, Knightsbridge, near Hyde Park. Approximately 100 firefighters and 15 fire vehicles currently involved. The London Fire Brigade have helpfully told us the fire was "producing a lot of smoke". Thankfully no injuries reported at time of posting. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-44389565
"After the blaze broke out, staff were evacuated from the 12-storey building to Hyde Park, where they given bottles of water." Cuts to fire services have really told, now the advice is DIY with a bottle of Evian.
***** Pedant alert ***** Actually, the amount of smoke being generated by a fire is highly indicative of it's cause and the materials involved. Not that I know anything about fire engineering of course.
