For me the main highlight of Saturday’s win was the introduction of Hoots Mon as the post-match victory song. Top marks to whoever came up with that idea. Come on 1881 – we must adopt this as our ‘anthem’!! There's no excuse for not joining in! Me and my daughter stood after the game waiting for good old depeche mode - then they came on! Wasn’t a fan, but it’s not that big a deal and if there’s crowd involvement in singing it then all good. Edit - The Hornets wearing a Hart singing about a Moose. Clear and obvious.
I had nothing against Depeche Mode being the post-match song, but I have to admit, Hoots Mon is irritatingly catchy and I can definitely see it catching on if we have some good results.
Hoots Mon was the first dance song at my wedding. To cover up my terrible dancing. It was decided a silly dance would be the best way forward We enjoyed it. The guests enjoyed it. The marriage did not last. But the music lives on for ever.
I liked Just Cant Get Enough more than Z Cars. I'm feeling happier and happier that I missed Saturday now. Far from feeling FOMO, my overriding emotion is sadness that we didn't get stuffed and so the clappers' tails are up.
