I actually cannot remember the last time I played against Barcelona, yet it's a special occasion if I'm playing someone other than Real Madrid, it's even a breath of fresh air to play Real Madrid when Ronaldo isn't played as a striker tbh.

Anyway I've won 4 in a row since going back to City and I'm safe from relegation back to div 3 so I think I'll stick with them.

    I play 4-2-3-1

    Hart
    Maicon, Kompany, K Toure, Clichy
    Milner, Garcia
    Nasri, Y Toure, Tevez
    Aguero

Before I did use Yaya instead of Milner, with Tevez at CAM and Silva on the left but although Silva is rated 88 I find he is too weak and gets tackled easily

I used to play minecraft for a bit, but i mainly watch playthroughs on youtube now.

It is an awesome game the scale of it is unbelievable and it's very charming with its 8bit graphics.

yer i used to play it on small scale servers quite a bit in the past, now i find it hard to find a server with a decent crowd to play with. i enjoyed the creative aspect of it, but i think amongst a lot of gamers it has developed a bad reputation which it really does not deserve. all i want to do at the moment is find a small server with just 10-20 people playing who dont complain all the time, but it is becoming increasingly difficult because of the wide userbase, which i accept is mainly made up at this point of younger kids.

kerbal space program has much the same financial model as minecraft and involves creating your own space program for a civilisation known as the kerbals. i think this would be right up smudgers street.

Yeh it's too complex for me, no way that i'd be able to remember that many combinations of what you need to make things and which order you place it on the crafting table etc.

Watch Juicetra or captainsparkles on youtube for some top pros playing it. They're really good.

EDIT: Just watched a few videos and played a few demos ofs the Kerbal space program and wow it's pretty good but hard. I don't get sometimes why my rockets don't take off and i keep getting into space and then i have no way to re enter or orbit. Frustrating but fun.

kerbal space program has a very steep learning curve. it took me about 10 missions to get a rocket into space, and then another 5 or so before i had perfected an earth orbit. for a game it is very detailed and has a lot of actual science in it, and so getting an orbit just right can be very difficult. unfortunately like you, i tried so hard to get one of my crews in orbit, that i had nothing to bring them back with. as it is jebediah, bill and bob kerman are currently travelling around earth in an endless orbit.

with the games updates they have made it possible now to do space walks, so my next idea is to try and send a rescue rocket up to space to try and rendevous with my three lost astronauts. ill let you know how i get on, but im not hopeful.

as far as my best achievement to date. i own the full game with a huge universe, the furthest i have got from earth is an orbit around the moon. fortunately i managed to get a slingshot around the moon back to earth. after rescuing bill, jebediah and bob i intend to try and land on the moon, although i fear many brave kerbal souls could be lost. after all it took me to kerbollo XVII to do a successful lunar orbit.

Yeh it's so frustrating to get the thrust weight fuel ratio right. It seems i have 3 options. Either I have enough fuel to get into orbit but not enough thrust so i fail. I have enough thrust get into space but run out of fuel to reach orbit. Or In trying to pack in boosters and fuel it's too heavy to make it to space.

I don't understand the structural thing that splits it into 3 parts, and whenever i seem to splut into 3 you have to use smaller fuel tanks and a smaller engine it doesnt seem worth it. Also i don't get how you attach things to the side. Whenever i do it just crumbles and explodes on the launch pad.

I do love the animations of Bill Jebediah and Bob.

Been playing WarThunder, free Flight MMO. Been enjoying it, but latest patch has somewhat added annoyances. It's a Beta though, so it's worth a check out as you have nothing to lose and is a great blast when you have a good game.

First off Opti it would be up my street. :) I do like those sort of games but at the moment I am playing wargame simulations that they use to train officers in the British Army. I'd also recommend something like Steel Panthers World At War which is accurate down to nth degree in terms of equipment , ballistics and is a tactical game using historical scenarios and longer campaigns like Das Reich, Russian Steel where you take command of a brigade level detachment of soldiers , artillery, tanks and self propelled guns based on actual units from various countries which you can choose.

Nath I always wait generally before committing to buy games when the initial complaints arise and you can see if all the spin and PR are just that. I've been playing games too long now to get sucked in.

And you are right . It seems somewhere between the demo (or was it a rendered demo) and the actual game Gearbox have seriously fouled up. The look of the game which was meant to be a cinematic representation of Hadleys Hope and LV-426 is gone ,as is dynamic lighting, the aliens intelligence and all the little touches that made it look so appealing initially.

This is a pretty damning inditement of the game in this video:

I've started this up again... finished 5th in the Prem, won the FA Cup, lost in the final of League Cup and Europa League both to Spurs.

In regards to transfers, I sold Adryan to Real Madrid for 23m! With that I bought Benteke, Shelvey, Frison (young striker with good potential), I also bought Forestieri and Battochio as they weren't in the Watford squad.

It's now August at the beginning of the next season so the ins and outs of this window are:
    In:
    Oxlade Chamberlain 11m
    Holtby 13m

    Out:
    Vydra 6.5m
    Assombalonga 250k
    Jenkins 400k
    Forestieri 3.4m (he was ****)

    Team looks like this now

    Butland
    Cisse, Miquel, Chalobah, Robinson
    Hogg, Pogba
    Zaha, Holtby, Oxlade Chamberlain
    Frison

Bond, Shaw, Battochio, Shelvey, Sterling, Berisha, Benteke

Reserves: Hoban, Whichelow, Landu Landu + unknown youth players

haha i saw that article too. unfortunately im not in a committed relationship and also don't like enclosed spaces. not really sure of the point of it really, why bother if your not even going to land there.

i do play it on occasion, at the moment im on a minecraft hiatus. if i start playing it again i will only play online with people i know, as im fed up of servers getting reset. if enough people played i would set up a forum server, but im not all that sure how many of us play it.

Once March is out of the way dissertation wise, i'll get back involved in Minecraft. In that and Football Manager. I have missed the latter far too much recently and am going to have to try and pick up where i left off/refresh my memory with what was going on.

I've not played online before but that could be cool. I generally just go through phases of really intently playing where I'll start up a survival game and build a house and explore some mines and end up getting bored getting repeatedly lost in the mines and block my way to the surface and to creative mode.
Ah yeh me too. You don't really notice how much you miss games until it's exam time and you force yourself not to play them.

I only just got Battlefield 3 recently. Such a good game and I cannot believe I waited so long to play it. I used to be a COD man, but this is quickly changing, BF3 is probably one of the best games I've ever played.
