For those of you struggling with the temporary style I've knocked up a high visibility one.
Click on your username at the top right of the screen, select preferences and change the "Style"

 

Big step in the right direction.

Thanks for all the hard work in migrating to the new system. Can I suggest that we change the background to something more neutral - i.e. one solid colour? The 'wallpaper' changes colour as you scroll, and the white text is sometimes a bit difficult to read against the lighter backdrop.

 

See Post Meister put up earlier. Hover over your Username at the Top Right hand corner, choose "Preferences" and then change the Style to "Mesiter's Style"

Honestly? Not really. I'm getting used to this default one now. I think our club colours are very difficult to implement into a good looking forum/website. Yellow & grey always go together well so I think this default style is already halfway there.

 

If you hover over your name in the top right corner, a little pop up appears with some options.

One of them is 'Your Content'

Please consider getting rid of animated gifs in peoples signatures, that one of Doyley scoring over and over is just so s**t and needless, (apologies Dom, just using it as an example). Seeing a few in a thread, (especially in a clean design such as this), makes it look like a 12 year olds forum.

I'm inclined to agree, but then I have sigs turned off for everyone (for my personal view) so can't see any of them.

Can you add changing the default font to your list for the future
Something less formal ( not comic ) so it doen't look like a legal document

We'll probably lock it down to just one & one size as before to help with legibility and to keep stuff tidy.

For anyone else who wants to do so by the way, it is in your preferences.

Hover over your name in the top right corner, drop down box appears and Preferences is one of the selections. Viewing signatures is a tick box within there.

I think the members area has a nicer layout than the old site.

Long term, it would be good to have an 'awards' section in there, so we can look back and remember the winner of the Eurovision sweepstake 2015 etc.

 

The new site looks really good. As ever, a big thank you to all those who put in so much hard work to run and manage it for us all. Your efforts are much appreciated

 

Good idea, this forum has a built in capacity for something like that too.

Your "New Features" look as though they will be great, but please remember that not all of us on here are that computer savvy So please can you also produce an "Idiots Guide" on how to use all these no doubt wonderful improvements to the forum.
