Those were some poor penalties weren't they. I switched on at 88th minute and watched the game from then on. It has to be said, where would United be this season were it not for Januzaj? Yes his pen was poor (not as bad as Jones'!) but the commentator was absolutely right - he has been such a figure in this United team this season.
I've been waiting since 1991 for Man Utd to be **** and now it's happening. I even feel sorry for them, which patronisingly makes it even better.
What makes it good is the fact that man utd fans are pompous t***s who think they deserve to win every game by a big margin just because they're a big club. They have such a superiority complex which finally is being challenged by their failures. And if they dont make it into the champions league their huge market share in asia will dwindle, share prices drop, and lack of tv money from the champions league might mean they have to cut back too.
I do think the Moyes and Man United will win the league next season or the season after. Yes its a disaster at the moment, but Moyes is a strong character. Once this media frenzy of United failing dies down, I do think they will be a strong unit (if they make some good signings).
It's hilarious, I saw a meme about alex fregusen building sucess for 27 years and moyes destroying it in 6 months. As if finishing mid table means everything is undone? I think it would be good for man united fans, it will amke them appreciate it more when they inevitably challenge for the title again. I heard some people in the library both today and yesterday talkng about man utd, and about "stealing" mata etc. Just idiots who don't know how to talk about football. Football is all about disappointment, and it's time some people learnt to suffer. If 80% of my time as a football fan want spent frustrated and disappointing, I don't think I would even care when we won.
What a pot hunting little canut. My mates a Chelsea fan and while he loves the success he hates the new breed of "fans" that now frequent the Bridge.
http://www.givemesport.com/448658-manchester-united-set-to-sell-zaha-for-just-5m-this-summer Zaha off for half what they bought him for in the summer. You surely have to quest Fergie on this acquisition.
For 5 mill the Pozzos might sign him for udinese and loan him to us. They invest in young talent, worth a punt, especially as he's English they could sell for an inflated price if he has a good season. Then again he is a complete ****.
I think Moyes has every right to be annoyed at being left a team that had just comprehensively won the league.
I think that has more to do with the other teams being poor. To be fair to Fergie he made visiting teams scared to go to Old Trafford and that doesn't happen anymore. The likes of Cleverley, Jones, Valencia, Young and many others are mid table players. Rooney and Van Persie are the only top quality players and Van Persie has been injured a lot
I genuinely think anybody with an ounce of tactical nous would have been able to get the same group of players that won the league last year into the title race. Being over here, every game they play is on TV so I end up watching a fair amount of all the top teams. His tactics are so far behind the like of City and Chelsea, with the old fashioned 4-4-2, leaving RVP isolated up top and smashing it long from the back. Moyes had every chance to go out and finally buy a top replacement for Scholes - he messed around and panic bought Fellaini. Again, he had every chance to go and buy a centre-back to partner Vidic - he didn't. Even Mata has consistently been played out of position. I accept that Ferguson did leave behind a squad that needed improvements in a couple of key areas, making it the perfect time for a new guy to come in and pick the players he wanted to fill those roles. Honestly, he looks way out of his depth. If you're going to question Fergie, it can only be for picking Moyes.
Some of their fans are questioning Fergie about picking Moyes. I think the fear factor has gone, Moyes is clearly not in the same league as Fergie, Chelsea Man City Everton Liverpool have improved where as Moyes bought badly and the old guard are basically too old.
Problem Moyes had and is going to have is that players aren't going to want to play for utd, the same attraction isn't there as there was with Fergie. That and not getting into the champions league, they'll have to up the wages considerably to attract the right players.
We are all forgetting how funny it all is. I like to have a little google about it at least once a day
It is going to be bloody hilarious if Everton get Champions Legaue football and Utd end up seventh. Bloody hilarious. In fairness to Martinez, he made some brilliant signings and is clarly a brilliant motivator. They talk about 'spines' of teams being important, and I can't think of many better in the league than Howard-Jagielka-Barry-Lukaku. Sturdy.
Instead, they're playing the ex-Barnsley lad, John Stones, out of position at centre-back. Great to have another young English player coming through at the top end of the league.
