It was presumably made as a joke to see if any of his fans are stupid enough to actually do it. To be honest I find it sad that people are even spreading that link. I don't know twitter, but that girl has mentioned she's been bullied and has mentioned killing herself which is not a laughing matter - just remember that Amanda girl. Plus self harm is a very serious issue. People do it in terrible states of depression where it actually brings them relief from there dark gloomy thoughts,cutting in that state of mind can be therapeutic to the sufferer. These fools have a choice and quite frankly it's disgusting and delusional.

yeah it was 4chan, incredibly well played by them just shows the internet is a stupid place (apart from this forum, of course) and things like twitter can be easily manipulated lots of the images/profile pics they used were straight off google images, but of course people are so obsessed with the Bieber stuff to notice
This, or something like it, was inevitable. It is a crossing of the rubicon, threats of mass self harm, "flashcutting" , where celebrity meets the internet meets teenage girls.
