If any other theatre had done this, to have white only performanes (to protect white people from the black gaze) I would be just as against it. But that ain't happening. Not criticising the actors, the writers, etc.. Just the racists, IMHO, who thought a seggregated audience was a good idea If they had called me whitey, I wouldn't have had a problem. But when they start saying "you can't go there whitey" I think there is a serious problem. Equally as bad as if some had said "You can't go there, you are a minority." Some may say it is OK to be racist if it's white people you hate. But personally, I am disgusted by bigotry levelled at any person. Only remains to be seen if people are willing to condemn it, support it or ignore it. I would liken ignoring it to sleep walking into fascism. I am accusing no one of being a fascist by saying that. But very interested to hear what you guys have to say, perticularly of you would defend it; I mean, the Guardian have defended it, why shouldnt other people. I am only expressing my opinion. This play sounds exactly like the sort of sh1te that Mrs Lloyd drags me along to so as far as I'm concerned their 'no whites' policy is a great idea as it could well have saved me from an evening of purgatory.

Because it is open racism, stemming directly from an ideology with roots in fascism. Aren't you concerned about that going on in Britain? I've got people coming after me on here for saying there is racism coming from the left. At the very least we seem to be seeing a complete lack of concern for it. If I'm not affected directly by skin heads kicking the poop out of racial minorities, should I not be worried anout it. I am not impressed.

I have no problem at all with criticisms of Abbott as an MP, as a racist or even as a person. But this guys comments are unacceptable. An appology is appropriate, but his association with a political party is undesirable. Though I would be interested to know if looking at him makes people on here want to hate all Conservatives. I suspect it may, and without any sense of irony.
Abbott has previous for her own racist outbursts of course and I have little time for her as well, but this chap is well out of order. Suggesting someone be shot is even questionable as part of a joke although I acknowledge it's unwise to judge without listing to the comment in context, you just don't go there. Him suggesting that she affects his judgement about black women is particularly telling, even in jest this sort of thing has to have some discrimnatory root somewhere. Ergo, the bloke is a nasty peice of work in my opinion. Sod giving him his money back though. I'd would forward it to an equality charity but it's probably been spent already.
I think burning it in front of him may have generated pleasant feelings. But a charity would do nicely, though so many of them are political idealists with political agendas, or corporate styled ego trips that appear to spend more on their image than their concern. But yes. Probably spent a long time ago.
