G0od point. Sheff Wed Plymouth is a tough one. Two sides that are hard to beat, a draw there would be a good result.

Rovers drew with Millwall, which is alright for us I guess, Brum got a late equaliser which is annoying, but Stoke lost so worst case scenario we remain 6 clear of the trap door

Wednesday just aren't stopping, all of a sudden they have made up the points deficit, you'd have to back them to stay up now. Plymouth in freefall, 5 losses in a row without scoring...

That's not right - they beat Boro 2-0 just 3 games ago.

Fair, it's still the only game they've scored in during that time!

Very competitive at the top and bottom as usual .

No one can say they look like mid table mediocrity for now.

Southampton's game has been called off due to a large fire in a Warehouse near the ground.

Nobody was hurt and the fire is out, fixture will no doubt re-arranged.

Thoughts and prayers with @wfcwarehouse. Always tough when one of the family gets burned to the ground x

So, not a great result in what was probably our most winnable game left of the entire season, but Stoke (expectedly, they were probably happy enough not to get battered by Leeds) and Huddersfield (more disappointingly considering Cardiff are bang average) losing at least means we extend our lead over 22nd to 7 points. QPR briefly went only 3 points behind us, which would have been scarcely believeable after the opening day, and off the basis of the BBC report and the stats, a point was the least they deserved against high-flying West Brom

Had a penalty missed and another not given .

We may now be 7 points clear but, after tonight's draw, our PPG over our last 8 matches remains unchanged at 0.63 - still the second worst in the championship. Projecting forward, using everyone's PPG over their last 8 matches, gives the predicted final table below. Obviously everyone's form will not remain constant but, (especially given our tough run in) it suggests we might well finish perilously close to the relegation places.

Brilliant save by the defender on the line by the way. But very much handball.

So that would be a whole two points outside the drop zone - sterling work from our boys (theoretically)

Keeps it exciting. Gives us something to play for til the very last game. What’s not to like ?

Much more exciting to beat the foot of the championship than the premier league, everyone knows that the very occasional wins against the likes of QPR and Rotherham trump very occasional wins against the likes of Man Utd at least tenfold for enjoyment.

Hiring an employment lawyer to help keep Val in his job for at least one more game?

Either he’s accusing a club official of taking the photos or dropping a frivolous story to his mate Leventhal to try and smooth things over. Another bonkers day at a bonkers club.

It won’t take too much detective work. The dad of the guy who took the photos was sharing his son’s work on Twitter/X. His lad’s first text stated “don’t share these….”

Regardless of the content, which is largely spot on, am I missing something or does it strike me as being unprofessional to be texting your colleague on 'enemy territory'? If you need to text them, do it in the bogs, of course someone is going to take a picture if you do it in front of them!

Maybe he wanted to be caught...

Either way I hope Val prints that out on a poster and sticks it up in the dressing room. So we can still be indifferent and ****.

Of course if you pick the singular worst example available, and one that is likely to break the record for conceding the most goals EVER in premier league history then it might look slightly less favourable than championship drudgery.

But of course as you well know, that is the exception rather than the norm, and I was comparing it to our own last season in the Premier League when much like in the Championship this season, we only won games every few months, but at least when we did it was against a decent team.

How about we pick Luton instead, do you think their fans are having more or less fun than us this season?

Preferring to be Sheff Utd is a no brainer. Next season they will have parachute payments and Hamer and Archer will stick around. We will have our group of deadbeats less Asprilla, Andrews, Kone (delete as applicable) and a potless owner who has no interest in investing, and dreadful Duxbury stuffing his face with another million pounds we can’t afford.

Given that this is including some pretty darn average seasons, and considering it's only likely to get worse, this is damning
